  1. ultraman came into my life when Fox Kids came to an end. They called it the Fox Box. the program that took in place of Power Rangers was Ultraman Tiga. i was hooked, not because it reminded me of Power Rangers, but of Godzilla.

  2. Didn't notice this when I watched the video the first time when it was uploaded 3 month ago but 4:04 is filmed next to train tracks and utility poles. Very neat, Anno would be proud.

  3. What has anno actually said about anime and mecha because I keep hearing people say he’s super critical of it and it’s fanbase but he also seems like he has endless love and passion for it so idk if maybe it’s just a mistranslation.

  4. For an ET movie that's founded on the idea of preserving the human species of Earth because of how fascinating humans are to this ET, ironically the movie sure did a HORRIBLE job at presenting the fascinating side of humanity, with the monotonous dialogues, robotic interactions, absence of chemistry between the characters.
As much as I love the visual concept, the storytelling department was a pain in the ass to sit through for sure.
