Shepherd's Crossing – Episode 10: Fleecy Foes

We do some more complex farming like milking our goats, aging cheese, and we get a little bit of a head start by hunting sheep and gathering wool before we even raised one ourselves!

  1. I had a purebred Shetland sheepdog (Sheltie). He was the most intelligent dog I've ever had. He was probably on the level of a Jack Russell terrier's intelligence. He knew English. He just couldn't speak it. I also taught him to play guitar, and he had a favorite song. Of course, he couldn't phrase the chords with his little paws. I'd hold the chords, and when I told him, "Play guitar!" he'd strum the strings and sing his own lyrics. His favorite song was "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis Presley, and he had his own lyrics for it which he sang exactly the same way each time.
