  1. the difficulty isnt higher…..just if one selects engineer but doesnt play as an engineer despite the game being programmed to feed into that by e.g. dishing out more turrets, which are the engineers FRIEND cuz u ought supposed to controll them to destroy big enemy packs — but if u dont then encounters that are designed to be easy by that wont be. u created ur own difficulty level, like people do with challenges — maybe someone should try a one-bullet challenge run 😀

  2. the thing that you're not such good in english as in french is not always bad btw. for example, im also pretty bad in english, especially in speaking part and its way easier to understand you than other english speakers, because you use simple words. im actually can watch your videos without subtitles and fully understand what you're talking about. so, maybe you're capturing a larger audience by speaking simple, lol.

  3. Seeing you with that Avenger really hurts me. lol I don't think hardcore is that much more difficult, I think you just leave yourself more exposed than you should (for an Engineer) and you're carrying too much weight. 2 guns should be enough, I would drop the sniper rifle which you rarely use and upgrade the AR to the Mattock. You have to pick your shots and use powers more frequently. It's just my opinion though, no need to go spreading it around. 😉

  4. Just for future reference, doing all the matriarch writings in ME1 can have a beneficial result in ME3 – not that you need the extra war assets, but it causes a very cute outcome in a later quest.

  5. On Benning there are Military Tags of his son which you can find when saving the Civilians from Cerberus if I recollect correctly as it's been a long time since I played ME3. Can't wait for Priority Tuchanka.

  6. "Had to be us, someone else might got it wrong" is the most sounding phrase throughout the entire game bringing brightness and hope for everybody, yet, it's one of the sadest moments in the game also. Can't wait.
As always J, love the video, love the content, and love the laughs. Keep going hard, and as i said before: You deserve the stars.

  7. Your story reminded me of the Creepypasta story of Teke Teke and how that story ends with "it is said that Reiko will pay a visit to whoever hears this story within months and will ask for their legs." Later in the same year I read that story, my toenail had to be operated on TWICE, my metatarsal fractured, etc. Probably has nothing to do with the Teke Teke story but I sure love scaring my friends and cousins about it.

  8. Перед прохождением DLC Citadel обязательно поймай хомяка, иначе пропустишь очень забавный момент
И про миссию Примарха не забывай

  9. Did you eventually figure out that by grid searching the systems you get a beep whenever you fly close to something scannable that's floating out in space, which is mostly wreckage with fuel? The only random scans you needed to do was to detect planets with things of interest on them. Also did you figure out that when there are only 2 things to find in a system one is something of interest, or credits, on a planet and one is always a fuel wreckage?

  10. The worst part about finishing the playthrough before uploading it is missing out on "quality of life" strategies. Such as scanning…
•Most systems have a fuel depot or the wreckage of one. These generally provide enough fuel to get you around the entire cluster without needing to pay to refuel.
•When scanning a cluster, never scan the system with the Relay first. Save that for last.
•Before scanning a system, fly around and check the planets' info, and listen for the wreckage – the wreckage gives the same computer chime as a planet when you cross over it. Many of the assets recovered from planets will also be hinted at in the description box, and many of those planets should be familiar from ME1/ME2 missions and news stories. Figuring out where everything is before scanning reduces the chances of Reapers visiting.
•The direction you are facing when entering a system determines where you enter from. If you are facing Northwest, you enter the system from the Southeast, facing Northwest. By controlling the direction you're facing, you can appear next to your target to grab it quickly and escape the Reapers. It's also possible, with quick, light presses, to spin the Normandy in place so you don't have to waste fuel circling around to change the direction when re-entering a Reaper-filled system.
•Clearing a system before moving on means you don't have those nagging undiscovered assets to come back for later (and they're almost always a wrecked fuel depot anyway).
•Saving the Relay system for last leaves you (usually) with full or almost full fuel when leaving the cluster. That and the free fuel from the Citadel means you can possibly complete the game without ever purchasing fuel.
Of course, its a bit too late for this playthrough, isn't it? 😂

  11. Whimsy! You are my favorite mass effect let's player on the citadel! (Unlike shepard I don't comment that on all youtubers videos 😂) I loved your personal story and your english is great, thank you for sharing such an interesting and emotional anecdote and also, thank you for doing such important work in the first place. ❤

  12. It was interesting that Whimsey mentioned a real world example of the kind of situation that that soldier in the hospital was in. I don`t want to go too far into it, but the way she explained it, it lends a bit of realism to what happened in game. I mean that what was shown there also happens in the real world. I`m sure she is a great nurse (just a little complement for you Whimsey).

  13. I have the deepest respect for all nurses, doctors & healers, it requires such a great deal of dedication and emotional strength, telling a lot about their caring, helping, selfless, empathic personality traits which I highly value, the ones that really matters. Now it gives a clearer context for your deep emotional investment in the series, showing how much you can relate to it by real life, feeling the weight. Yea moments like these, with Grunt, now Liara, or Garrus, Mordin, Thane… they all grow on us so much, like they really all have a soul through their voice actors, yea such an amazing writing… Now you share why we are all so much connected to this world here. So true, never hide your feels, emotions or sensitivities, they are all valuable and telling a lot about you! No sorrys needed, this is all about you. Thank you for sharing your touching story Whimsy, keep at it! 🙂

  14. Here we are! Finally! The complete Shepard's dance moves!! ahahaha Personally, I'm a fan of the original move, is so iconic, the best one ahaha By the way, I think your english is perfect, I'm italian and I understand all without subtitles 🙂
I think they did a perfect job with Liara in ME3! The connection she has with Shepard is so deep… I think Liara is the character that best represent the essence of Mass Effect. "She" is an alien, has no gender and is a romance option for both Shepard, I feel like she represent the multicultural essence of the Normandy crew and of the galaxy. And she is often associated with the Vigil theme wich is (at least for me) the theme that best represent Mass Effect, along with the map one. I don't know if I explained well, english is not my main language…
Anyway, no main missions but I still appreciated the episode (the nursing anecdote was so interesting. An hard job I guess…)🙂

  15. But if you destroyed all of EDI's hardware, the Normandy would still exist and function without her.

It's an interesting thought experiment either way.

And yes, they really upped their game with the music this time around. Of course it doesn't hurt that there are lots of emotional scenes that they are set to. Leaving Earth still gets me to this day. As does Farewell, And Into the Inevitable. And An End, Once and For All.

  16. If you are curious as to how the Acolyte pistol actually works in practice….

The shots won't ricochet if they hit the enemy. The detonation is EXTREMELY strong against shields and barriers, one shotting everything but the strongest shields. It is not effective against armor and the while its health damage is alright, the slow firing rate makes it ill suited to killing enemies. It's meant to be used in conjunction with biotics. Biotic Combos do very poor damage against shields, so you use the Acolyte to remove shields and then use your biotic combos for the kill, which deal high damage to health, barriers, and armor. It's the only gun you need to take for such a build, which will easily leave you at 200% recharge speed bonus. This let's you spam your biotic powers very quickly for kills, with the Acolyte covering your one weakness (shields).

  17. You handled this better than I did my first time. My whole face was leaking when Liara first showed me that time capsule. Maybe because i only romanced her and it was my first blind playthrough. It was so unexpected. Also with how the ending went, it honestly left a hole in my heart. 💔
