Shakespeare did this along with other Elizabethan writers: they were also often one of the producers of their plays. Look at this as an incredibly impressive event that great writers have always done. This takes great talent and awareness to pull off!!
Idk bout the blackbeard thing. Hasn't haki already been proven to be more important/ powerful than devil fruits? Blackbeard has to have strong haki as well imo

Being able to hide his presence explains why Shanks was able to sneak up on Akainu at Marineford. This technique was even foreshadowed when some of the minks hid their presence from Luffy.
Update 2:( I posted my original comment about this theory on Vinland d 1055 shanks is a monster Haki video if you want to understand this comment check it out:) just wanted to give you a update how I've been feeling about this… So basically now everyone saying shanks going to teach Luffy the strongest form of Haki.. the combination of all the Haki he learned like I mentioned in the 1st makes golden Haki which is the one piece (will of humanity plus God like abilities ) .. Soo I feel that when shanks said to that one guy let's go get the one piece he means Luffy… Hence why he went to wano and left knowing Luffy accomplished it because everyone keeps on saying he was there cuz he thought Luffy lost so he was gunna get his devil fruit buttt it didn't happen. So now shanks is going to give his life for Luffy for him to achieve the ultimate form sun god with golden Haki ( it's basically going to be a goku turning super Saiyan cuz krillian die for my boys born in 1988 – yall 90 kids don't know about that episode lol) so I can see either Blackbeard or Imu killing shanks and Luffy just loses it and it shows back like he lost it when ace died.. and remember what Gol. D. Roger/shanks said it's the worst when you hurt his friends so that's why Luffy turns true sun god form with golden Haki (looks like the sun) .. now here's the best part what if he ask those damn big weapons pluton Uranus whatever they are to move the Earth so he can smash the person who killed shanks??? What if he siphon heat from the fucking sun and made a fist a size of the earth ( since he did it it wano with a island) and told those fuckers like he did momo "move the Earth" so is that why they are secret weapons ?? Lol just the thought. The old people celestial dragon said the only limit is his imagination and that's the thing because at this point Luffy can be do anything he want so what he if made a fist that can crush the planet for Imu killing shanks??
I think Xebec was a world noble that was kicked out (as to why, possibly Xebec wanted to take control of the nobles or the world, so they got rid of him). Xebec then builds up a large criminal force in the west blue (similar to the DonQuixote’s in the north blue). During this time he meets and has a child with a woman, she is then killed by the WG. Xebec being kicked out by and losing his baby mommy too, goes after those that wronged him the World nobles and the WG. Xebec needs a powerful group to not only take down the WG, but also to protect his son, his now only family (And of course that baby was Rocks D. Shanks) Xebec goes to Fullalead to finalize his crew and heads to god valley because he knows of its importance to the Nobles. In fear of losing another of his family Xebec hides Shanks in a chest hoping to get him after. After Rodger and Garp defeat Xebec. Rodger then takes Xebec’s treasures he collected. Shanks is taken by accident by the Rodger pirates assuming this was Xebecs most valuable treasure, which it was ☺️.

I've said this before, here's hoping you see it this time, but if Shanks knew the significance of the Hito Hito no Mi when Luffy ate it, then I don't think he'd be above losing the arm ON PURPOSE in an effort to make the appropriate impression on Luffy. A much more literal ante in his bet on the next generation.
