Honestly speaking this is the hardest quote I've heard in my childhood.

In our whole life we search for the answers of questions like "What is God?"" What is the nature of the divine in relation to humanity?", barely realizing that God is not an entity that can be approached solely through practices, scriptures, or institutions; rather, God is the essence of all existence and the underlying reality of all beings.

This is reminiscent of the Advaita Vedanta view, which Vivekananda was deeply influenced by, where the divine is seen as the non-dual Brahmanโ€”the formless, infinite consciousness that permeates everything.

If God exists, then God is immanent in all life. And serving others becomes a direct means of interacting with & honoring that divine essence.

This aligns with the Vedantic principle of ๐˜›๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜›๐˜ท๐˜ข๐˜ฎ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ด๐˜ช (โ€œThou art thatโ€), which asserts that the essence of each individual is identical with the essence of the divine.

Also cosmologically it makes the most sense. In different traditions we've seen the worshipping of the Sun. In Greek Mythology (๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ด), Norse Mythology (๐˜š๐˜ฐฬ๐˜ญ), Egyptian Mythology (๐˜™๐˜ข), the first God to be worshipped was the "Sun". As solar system is all formed from left overs of a previous star & newly formed Sun's accretion disk, we can say, we all are born from star dusts.

Even the carbon in our DNA are exactly same carbon the Sun consists.

So, to find God is not to turn outward towards an abstract being but to see that divine connection with all beings.

  2. I don't have a religion but i believe in being the best person i can be, i try to forgive the ones who did me wrong, to ask for forgiveness for the ones i have wronged, to pay attention to others necessities before mine and being present in the life of the ones that my need me. To be patient and kind even with the ones i don't know or are not kind to me in return. I know i cannot always be like this, but i try my best to be, and for me, this is how i get closer to a God.
