****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

  1. Yes for sure, and we are totally unprepared. We are doing our best but we know that the only way we will survive would be by God's provision.
Your rabbit playlist was a great help for us to start raising rabbits a little over 3 years ago. Rabbits are the only meat we raise on our homestead as we are both disabled and rabbits are the only animal that we can handle so far.

  2. I have had this same feeling the past three weeks. Can’t put my finger on the what either. Glad you mentioned it in the past two videos. It helps the rest of us feel confident in our preparation and our common sense.

  3. My grandmother canned the bounty of the summer for later use. That is reasonable. But as Christians, to be in fear is not reasonable. God has already told you things will only get worse before it gets better (when the Lord Jesus Christ returns)! His word working in you and through you can handle whatever the world throws at you. But that is the catch: you have to know his word and believe it!

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
    2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
2Ti 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

  4. I agreed with you on your feelings, a lot of us feel that something also, if it isn't the second coming, then it won't be good. Not the place to get into politics. No bedding needed for the bunnies ? I had bunnies for pets, I'd bring one in the house, and it would chew on the lamp cord, but I loved it.

  5. I agree totally that the world is in chaos! We are in the U.P. of Michigan and are raising animals and had a garden this year. We will continue to live as much a self-sustaining lifestyle as possible. Thanks for your videos!!

  6. We have been preparing for years now. With that said, we feel we are at the precipice, something big, life changing, hopefully on the other side of this event, it will be so much better than it has in a very long time.

  7. Enjoy watching your videos for gardeing and food preservation content. My husband and I live in a smaller town and in town. We have converted most of the backyard and all of the side yard into gardening space. I love growing my own food and have for years. Its amazing what one can harvest from the amount of growing space we have. We always try to have dry food in our pantry and meat, butter, garden produce etc. in our freezer. We can tomatoes into various products we eat. We had so many tomatoes this year I was feeling overwhelmed and wanted to give some away and I felt that God was telling me to keep going when my husband said lets keep making more sauce. Waiting for the last of the tomatoes to ripen and will have one more batch of tomatoes to can. Blanched and froze carrots, peppers, green beans, beets, potatoes etc. Used some of our produce and meat to prep some freezer meals so later this winter we have things that can easily be cooked. Really saves time and money because your not tempted to eat out. My thing has always been start where you are with what you have and do what you can. We should have enough tomato products to last us a 1.5-2 years depending on what we use it for. One of my goals has always been to grow enough produce to last us till next years harvest. I also shop store sales for things like meat, dry goods, butter etc. When you see a sale if you are able stock up and get enough of that item to last till it goes on sale again been doing this for years. Also noticed its going to a longer time between sales on items. My husband drinks soda which is bad and he knows it but almost no sales and soon it will be so expensive he will have to give it up. Consider these extra things and prepare yourself for the time you cant afford them. Also only buy, grow, & preserve food that you actually will eat and rotate thru it. If you have pets get extra pet food if you are able before it gets too expensive.

  8. Yes I feel it and I don’t watch much of the news. I think it is God preparing us, if we are prepared we can stay home when chaos breaks out. We won’t be a drain on a taxed food system when there is little to go around.

  9. I have been learning how to can, freeze dry, raise veggies, finally got chickens last year. We just closed on a 3 acre property. Going into the next phase of learning and rabbits will be on the list. My family has been super mindful of our spending and we are looking to simplify our lives.

  10. Agreed-Somethings gotta give sooner or later w/ everything going on in the world! I’ve always prepped coming from farmers but started hunkering down since the big C. I always can easy meals for winter but right now I just feel it’s best I can whatever I can out of my freezers to clean them up and make way for more! So food and water are my big 2, I’ve got all my medicinals in order, need more propane and gas storage too!
The strike concerns me most along w/ wars, election, the weather😅
You name it-could all become desaterous!
I’ve been feeling this way for awhile as well Kevin-your not alone👍🏼

  12. Unfortunately we live within city limits….we are allowed to have 5 chickens and a goat. I will be thinking of adding "pet" rabbits as well. We are also getting seeds and such ready for next year's garden and we are canning water in our empty jars.

  13. We started raising quail after watching one of your YouTube videos on it in 2022. We live in town and it’s easier than chickens because we can have them in a small place and incubate more when we need them. Since we can’t raise that much meat we freeze dry lots of meat and other things in Milan bags for long term storage. That feels like food security because the meat is all ready for us when we need it. Don’t have to worry about keeping the animal safe in these times that way. We are also older and health problems so this works for us. Raising rabbits sounds good too though. Who knows maybe we will eventually raise rabbits after seeing your video on it.

  14. Yes I feel something. Have for a while now. The amount of evil that has surfaced is scary. I feel God probably has had enough. He has given us plenty of opportunities and time to get things straight. I never dreamed the world would be like this in my lifetime.

  15. We do believe that God has lead us to start preparing for some kind of unusual things to transpire in the near future. We started freeze drying from watching your videos, thank you! Also getting others to think about doing something to prepare just in case.
Thank you for your videos, keep up the great work!

  16. I believe you are right, there is something brewing and I feel it`s not going to be good. My husband and I have talked about getting a couple of rabbits. I don't know much about the process but will look back at you`re video`s. We have been preparing for almost two years and a meat source is the only thing we are missing, we live in city limits so have restrictions for animals.

  17. We are heading for a one world order. They have to bring America to its knees in order to do this. That’s why they hate Trump. He wants to bring us back to what our country was founded on. God is telling us to not only be prepared for our physical needs but also most importantly to draw nearer to Him. I think just before or right after the election we will be seeing terrible things.

  18. I feel it's coming. But I'm in a wheelchair & my dad is 90. Rabbits r good to have. Small cost to buy & care for. Easy to raise, not hard to dispatch. Good meat
I'm buying non perishable foods. Mostly cans. But also spices & things like flour & some dehydrated items. I own a dehydrator to help, but it's difficult for me to do much, paralyzed on 1 side

I used to have different types rabbits, new Zealand blacks & reds, Californians, & mixes

  19. I just put one of our female rabbits in with our buck this afternoon! Great minds think alike I reckon. Nice confirmation when I came in to get my favorite YouTubers fix and you've done the same thing…back to rabbits. Thanks for all you do Kevin & Sarah.

  20. The Parable of the Ten Virgins

    Matthew 25
“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
