In the Repair Shop today, three cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life. Art conservator Lucia Scalisi rescues a painting that has been in Patricia and Ivor Sansom’s family for decades and holds many special memories of a lifelong love story. Ceramicist Kirsten Ramsay reunites the broken pieces of a beloved painted plaque that was dropped and shattered over 45 years ago. And furniture restorers Will Kirk and Jay Blades bring a Japanese lacquered jewellery box that had suffered in the hands of burglars back from the brink.

You all did amazing work on everything that was brought in to the repair shop
First, what a charming, adorable, lovely, [insert any complimentary adjective] couple! Secondly, Jay's line at 20:34, "Looks like you've been cleaning out Will's ears.", absolutely floored me. A big part of the charm of this show is the banter between the restorers. It is obvious that they work well together and enjoy each other's company.
The story and the restoration of that painting is truly beautiful. It brought me to tears.
Each piece was returned to its former beauty 🥰🥰👏👏👏. Praise for the artists at the repair shop
Poor lady with the jewelry chest getting burgled by scumbags is all too common nowadays. Will did a great job on that piece!
Such lovely people. Well done.
Everyone is so brilliant at what they do! That painting!!
