Sealing 43 Terracotta Saucers | slow weekend experiment vlog

Most of the plants in my apartment live in terracotta pots and have saucers to catch any overspill when watering. Since terracotta is porous, moisture can leak through the saucers and cause damage to the surfaces they sit on. In a perfect world, all terracotta saucers would come glazed, but since they don’t, we’re taking matters into our own hands. In this video I seal the inside of 43 terracotta saucers with Rust-Oleum Multi-Purpose Clear Gloss paint. This is an experiment, so we’ll see how they do over the next few weeks. I’m hoping by sealing these terracotta saucers I’ll be able to bottom water all my plants where they sit. At the very least, they will be sealed to catch any overspill without damaging the surfaces they sit on.
