SB Plays Roadwarden 04 – The Long, Dark Road

I was going to have to get in over my head at some point.

Roadwarden is a text-based RPG that combines techniques from many kinds of modern narrative games and simple but evocative pixel illustrations. I’ve been hearing a lot of lovely things about this game, and I’m eager to discover the source of all this praise!

  1. This game is trying to push us into believing the last warden became a “shell” (corpse, zombie…..).
More likely the last Roadwarden ask for this placement so he could improve on his necromancy. I’ll bet we’ll find more and more people “missing” thanks to that Warden.
I’m sure he’s fine treating himself like a King. 0:01

  2. The interesting bit of worldbuilding regarding sleep is actually grounded in real-world history! It used to be very common to wake in the middle of the night, be up for a bit, then go back to sleep. It's fairly well documented in the pre-Industrial era. It's probably how we're intended to sleep too, so you can think the 8 work work week and 'early to bed, early to rise' garbage for yet another ill.
