At The end before you end at the terminal make sure you have the Iron Falcon ship as your main ship, this way you can claim more, and scrap them to create your own custom ship…. or use multiplayer and a group of you scrap and claim different parts, duplicate them and share them.

No Man’s Sky is an action-adventure survival game played from a first or third person perspective that allows players to engage in five principal activities: exploration, survival, combat, trading and base building. Autophage systems? They seem to be in other's systems.
Artemis, hadn't thought. He had a portal malfunction. So, introduce something that occassionally causes a portal malfunction; delivering you into the VOID or Glass universe, when you are carrying it or equip it as tech. Perhaps new alien tech?
After the patch notes saying orbital and omega are huge updates I think the ship has sailed for “huge summer update”
I don't think that was an abandoned station, more likely a pirate station, those do flash blue and red. Or maybe as others said, Autophage station…? Like… Abandoned but with some special tech they become Autophage stations? Maybe.
It would be nice if the expeditions that give ship reward would actually start you off in that ship 🫤
1:15 I’ve seen these creatures before, but what really stuck out to me is the fact that this is on a dead planet, one with no atmosphere and there shouldn’t be any life outside of whispering eggs here

First, YES. You're wondering if there are more alternate universes – I traveled to several galaxies while on my Adrift save and every galaxy 1-256 were abandoned – but it's not ACTUAL an alternate universe, it's code forcing every universe to appear "abandoned" to those in the expedition – sort of a reality overlaying out own.
Second, ThatBomberBoi reports the Starship Fabricator now has unused code relating to Solar Ship, Shuttles, and a "Rust" paint customization.

With the much more advanced space stations and now the very nice revamped Hauler design and the Starborn Runner in the last Expedition, the old ships are now looking very dated, I am looking forward to the updates to the rest of the No Man Sky ships and Freighters, Hello Games are such a great game developer that really care about their game and its players.

Maybe, the wing thusters for the iron vulture will get their visuals in the form of tech upgrades (probably quicksilver items) like the starship trails and jetpack trails.

I wish we could adopt those tentacle critters. Though I think the game would need a new maturity rating if you were able to ride them… 🤣
Have you tried returning to the planet with your normal save and see if those animals are there? BTW some have travelled to other galaxies via the anomaly transporter and all the galaxies are empty in the Adrift expedition
I noticed that there is no sound when the cockpit opens or closes on the Iron Vulture.
I think that putting us in this "alternate universe" is a test-bed for something greater to come. We all want to go into the void, the world of glass, and other places currently not in-game. Some of us also want planets that use the original ProcGen to generate the terrain. An "alternate universe" would be a perfect place to put that stuff without messing up anybody's bases/worlds in "this" universe.
I keep saying it and I’ll say it again. I hope they give us some new ship type with ship interiors. Frigs already have interiors, they should just let us fly those like normal ships and land them on planets. That would be so cool.
Still playing the expedition, went back to the first planet for tendrils and eggs and the first station entrance is flashing orange, red then fades to blue.
I wouldn't read tOo much into the trailers they always have something in them that is not in game, Its a scripted version of the engine i don't think it quite aligns with the game engine.
I found a crashed ship but didnt have a grave with it. I also have taken several pictures of a low flying derelict ship from the ground. I also had one appear under me whilst going through the atmosphere on one planet which I also took a picture of.
One new thing i saw was some of the big rocks on some planets of pure ferrite say reinforced steel but after collecting its just pure ferrite.
That's actually a nifty theory. I feel like the Iron Vulture is a test for HG to see how adding brand new customizable ship parts affects player experience because "they're seeding the game" with new parts for us to find.
I'd personally love to see NPCs fly ships with these new parts for variety sake but it looks like we'll get the 'sentinel ship' gameplay treatment where you have to actively explore to find brand new parts… might actually be a real cool thing for ship hunters too!

Nice spotting, its like the worm babies, it’ll make it over to game. But it’s unusual not to see it in the expedition already. And HG put out the trailer, they know whats in it.
Maybe one more update before the GIB? That’ll probably wrap up the expedition too. Building up too much, for too long, not to be something interesting.
I hope we get a GIB, never had one since i started playing, be thrilling for all us newbies!

Isn't the ruined starship next to the grave just one of the five new base parts we got in the expedition? Graves don't spawn that close to POIs.
I think we could use a touch of rengade space engineers, like space cowboys. They use a 3D printer to print out a ship based on some wonky X-tech which increases the chance the ship crash lands or something like that. Mad Max, but in space. Duct Tape and it's 1001 uses. The 3D printer is something you build, feed it materials like the egg sequencer and depending what materials you feed it? Well it's not rocket science, or is it? I say a gek wearing some hat and I envisioned a space cowboy. It's all HG's fault. The 3D printer takes time so it wouldn't interfere with custom ship building, plus it could give a new game mode with no starter ship, you build the printer find the plans (hope they're good) then feed the machine materials and wait for it to print the ship. Plop in Tech and hopefully it flies and the duct tape holds. LOL. How much would this change things? There are so many ways they could take it.

I feel like this expedition is a tech demo… They are testing out how much variation they can apply to the existing algorithm. Flip 1 bit, you are on a second algorithm, or branch. A different universe. With new seeds. And they tested out having multiple players across different instances/universe. At times, non expedition players were visible and interactive when they weren't supposed to be.
I think they are testing different bits in the save format… They recently refactored the code (IDs changed, save editors started bugging out, corrupted saves) and even released updates to attempt to fix the corrupted saves (love you HG. Tysvm!)
What I really want now is for Derelict Freighters either many/most/all have a ship bay on them where we can find ship parts. I really enjoy the idea of Derelict Freighters but I find they are too limited and repetitive with little reason to keep farming them.
if they change the derelict ships to something more interesting they could theme them so that the wrecked ships could have special parts that are themed, like Gek themed ships, or a Sentinel themed that let us build Fighters/Haulers/Explorers with Sentinel appearances. This could be pushed even further into Corrupt Sentinels and perhaps even Autophage. (This really will expand ship part hunting to the nth degree)
There are so many ways that Ship customization can be taken now, and so many systems in the game that are so limited, they really should expand on what they have and bleed content into each other.
Just as an aside. On XBox, I haven’t got the Adrift Patch yet. Because I declined the freighter, even though I have now finished the expedition and claimed all the goodies, the expedition is simply in limbo because I can’t terminate it. It wants me to claim the frigate reward but won’t allow me to ! The upside is that until this is fixed, I just keep merrily cloning the Iron Vulture hauler ☺️👍🏻

Much much much more things to come ? Good. I hope for much much much much more coming this year to nms. More new things instead of just mixing already existing things in the game content wise.
The engine effects are coming, I jumped onto experimental and they are definitely there 🙂
What if they add an alternate portal to alternate galaxies
Could this "alternate universe" be the reason why the 256th galaxy is blocked from visitors? Will Odyalutai become the World of Glass? We've been to the Atlas stations. Will we find Abyss stations in Odyalutai?
There were some cool nonstandard moments in Adrift expedition. I really want to talk about them but I don't want to spoil anybody. I will say I wish I had done the Derelict Freighter one early on because of what that gets you. I'm also confused about the lore in it and what the ending meant. Especially since I was clipping through the ship at the last point. It's not a solid object. Or it wasn't, for me.
Do/did the Autophage have ships? Maybe the ruined one next to the grave is the very thing. It could be that you will be able to salvage the parts and build your own. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here as I'm not really up on all the lore etc. Please comment if I'm just being dumb lol.

I think that the Adrift expedition takes place in the same universe that Nada is from. That's why there is no life.
We need xtra ship spaces, maybe 3 more cuz I’ve been deleting so many amazing ships …
yesterday i saw a video that at the scrapping you can just after confirming to actually scrap for 1 of the 3 parts, use quick menu to change ships.
this way you don't loose your ship.
and you can rinse and repeat for dozens of parts. i not-scraped my other ships also with this.
works like a charm, but i would suggest making at least one save before you start the process.
