Filling tall raised beds full of quality garden soil will cost some serious moolah!
Here’s how to do it for a fraction of the cost and build the quality of your soil over time as the base layers break down adding organic matter to the bed.
Don’t be surprised if you need to add more compost/soil each year as the bed settles and compacts. That’s totally normal.

I would have 12" – 18" of nice top soil if you are planting carrots/ root vegetables so that they don't come out deformed.
This is how you ruin your soil
Good idea
Tainted with lead
So dumb
Terrible for soil!! This will leech nitrogen & other mutrients from the soil, and extra fertilizer will not fix the balance!
Weird right.. all around is soil and earth and we still BUY😂

Nice one .I do the same but u need to improve . The formula is simple base layer for more time release compost and increase others layers .u have not mixed top soil with compost .the compost does 2 major stuff one as slow release fertilizer better faster than cupboards on bottom but also losen the soil which u missed .other u missed is direct fertilizer at top say 10cm with soil mix ..anyway u r there but needs these understanding of why we need different layers
Yeah but all that, bio degrading heats up. Its called ah hot bed. Be careful. Id let it do its thing for a season.
Super super super
Отличнаяя. Высокая грядка
I've done that for my entire garden this summer. I can't wait to see the results over the years 🤞
