Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malek Rahmati, and others were also on board the convoy, which included three helicopters, two of which landed successfully.

Pir Hossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), was quoted by Iran’s Tasnim news agency as saying that “40 rapid response teams from the IRCS are currently conducting search operations” in the region where President Raisi’s helicopter was alleged to have crashed.
Kolivand stated that the “weather conditions are extremely unfavourable and the terrain is difficult to navigate,” nevertheless “we are making every effort to carry out the necessary actions.”
“We used drones and airborne measures, but owing to the adverse weather circumstances, aerial search activities were not possible. “The area is rugged and mountainous,” he explained.
“We have also dispatched forces from specific provinces to ensure that more personnel are on-site.”
‘Hopeful, but information from the accident scene is disturbing’
Separately, an Iranian official told Reuters that the helicopter carrying Raisi and others crashed while crossing mountainous territory.
According to the official, both individuals’ lives were “at risk following the helicopter crash”.
“We are still hopeful, but the information coming from the crash site is very concerning,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The chief of staff of Iran’s army ordered that all army and special Revolutionary Guard resources be used for search and rescue operations.
“The hunt continues despite the fact that it is dark and pouring. Rescue personnel have arrived, but the rain has caused muck, complicating the search, according to a local reporter on state TV.
State TV had already halted all normal programming to broadcast prayers for Raisi across the country.

  21. Why can't you accept the reality that accident can happen naturally or from other reasons such as mechanical faults, human errors, etc. Why do you amplify such unhealthy speculations?
