Sands of Aura – Samurai Farm [upgrade mats, Runes, kinda fun, Challenging, oh and Glint]

Started learning how to kill the samurais when I had 400 defence and health. At that point I managed to defeat the 2 under the bridge and got a lucky drop and realized they could drop materials for my gear.

I would occasionally return and when I had 500~ armor/health I noticed the fights became more reasonable, I had to heal less often. I felt I had learned more about the fight that I would feel less inclined to push for a quick win in fear of dying.

Sometimes the fight becomes a 3 hit then block cycle which is nice because then the fight is on auto pilot.

At 600 health and armor the fights Started to lean in my favor. I started to experiment with other game mechanics that I had ignored (spellblade).

In this video I am currently at 669 armor and health. I wish I had recorded it sooner because it just looks to me like a high level is going around pounding on mobs.

I feel fine with just giving armor and health values as a baseline, because odds are other players didn’t focus on anything but their weapon and so they do a lot more damage than me.

Prior to this recording I had a +8 weapon. Just before this recording I wanted to farm with the intention of pushing this weapon into higher levels so I could farm faster. In this video it is at +11.

The below is only what I have observed.
The bell guys drop green mats.
The caster dropped purple mats which are pretty rare for me at this stage.
Samurai drop yellows and blues upgrade mats, along with purple and yellow runes. After recording this I did receive a red ingot drop from a samurai, which is probably really nice but I don’t need it yet.

I like this farm because its difficult. For my current purpose I am using it for the blue upgrade mats but I also like that I am getting a lot of yellow mats. I like the yellow mats because it means that much later on I won’t be wanting for them. Wish I could get more purples but on the flipside this means I still have incentives to keep exploring the world.

The amount of glint earned in this game doesn’t really seem to matter. Merchants can’t seem to drain it fast enough.

My recording software slows the game down quite a bit. If I play without the software running I can fight the zombies and samurai simultaneously without lag. With the recording lag I noticed a couple times where my character would not take inputs for attacking. I really am considering buying a 2nd pc or finding some other solution that doesn’t affect gameplay performance.
