San Antonio police arrest driver in shooting death of Sonic Drive-In manager

U.S. Marshals arrested a San Antonio man accused of being the driver in the shooting death of a 33-year-old fast-food manager.

Joshua Albert Joseph, 27, was arrested Friday at his North Side home in connection to the death of Daniel Shrewsbury.

On July 7, Joseph drove the alleged shooter, Adiah Roberson, and another woman to a Sonic Drive-In on Babcock Road. SAPD said the three individuals were trying to buy food with counterfeit money. Shrewsbury, who was the manager, did not allow them to make the purchase.

Joseph told Shrewsbury he was going to get shot, SAPD said.

Shortly after the confrontation, Roberson exited the passenger side of the vehicle and shot Shrewsbury, according to police. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
