I can’t play this one. I wanted to keep the saga going for the Saints, but it just doesn’t feel like my cup of tea this time. Maybe it’ll be patched and worked on with DLC.
I mean. It wouldn't be that terrible if you would know that it's not a Saints Row game. But unfortunatly it is.

You know the Steve Buscemi`s how do you do fellow kids meme? It feels like that if you create a character in his/her 30s; I tried creating myself and I looked like someone is having a mid-life crisis especially during the initial cutscene where you first meet with the others.

The new SR devs went the "we grew up, you should too" route, shaming fans of the better SR games because of the lame changes they were making. They claimed it was a "reboot like never before." There's a reason for that: this is NOT how you do a reboot. They took the brand that was built, the thing the fans show up for, and tossed it for… this. That never works, yet developers still try it. Thanks to that, we now have a 4/10 game that shows that they could have done something good, but they actually decided not to. The ONLY part I genuinely enjoyed was the LARPing arc. That was actually pretty funny in parts. And so you know Starsense, the long minute dying scene is actually an homage to a similar scene in a really bad foreign action film where a woman shoots a guy and he dies in slow motion, screaming like they're reaming him with a chainsaw… for like 2 minutes.
You know you’re in for a treat when the devs are kind enough to put an adjustable “tedium” bar in the options.
I would watch you review all the saints games. You have good taste for whats good in a game and your voice is so soothing. Perfect YT voice 🤠

1. Too Buggy, Glitchy, & Game Crashes
2. Cringy Moments Throughout The Game.
3. The Story Is Quite Stale….

My advice I brought it upon release but I advise you to wait for the day patches & updates if you can help it. Or wait til the game goes on sale….this way you can't lose…..

I'm old and I see that this game is simply not as good as 2 or 3 and is objectively bad in many ways but I also see that a lot of Saints fans have grown up and realised that a perfect characterisation of a douche canoe is just the same as an actual douche canoe.
I believe you guys will always have a soft spot for the old characters but if you had first met them today I dare to say that many of you would H. A. T. E. even the old characters because they were the actual Super Turbo Douche Canoes that they were supposed to be lampooning. It's just only ironic between the ages of 0 and approx 25 but somewhere between 20 and 30 actual discernment kicks in.
Thanks for the heads up l was thinking about getting this game due to a misconception that they wanted to bring saints row back to its roots (saints row 2) and distance themselves from the more cartoonish aspects of 3 and 4. But this is clearly a train wreck. I will just play modded sr2

Yeah… coming from a dude who played the franchise all in chronological order, I saw the decline of it all since saints row 3… that’s where the lacking started.
I finished 3 though, as for 4, I did not even finish it, the fact that there was no purpose for cars anymore just killed the vibe, being able to super jump and fly everywhere totally killed the idea of it being a saints game for me.
Now the reboot, didn’t even pre order it, once I found out that the whole premise of the saints is due to them trying to pay off student debt or their rent or whatever… I knew we would be in for a shit show, glad I didn’t pre-order, safe to say that saints row will not be going back to 1-2 vibes due to political correctness and yes I’ll say it, WOKENESS.

The censorship of sexual references makes no sense, considering there's still plenty of killing and themes of drugs and stuff. Anyone can find anything offensive anyway so, trying to make something not offend anyone, is just a losing battle on top of making something also bland. I'm not even a big SR fan, only played through 3 and 4, but this entire situation has been fascinating. It's just shocking to see how large companies with tonnes of experience and history to work with are comfortable with releasing absolute garbage like this, and it just enforces my lack of excitement for any future games, particularly from the West. And Volition's attitude is just disgusting.
Well if they are serious on repairing this game.
By the time if it ever comes to Steam.

I pre-ordered it but still force myself to play. I get bored after a single mission. It's the world and vibe for me. Idk who they were trynna market for. The trailer makes you think it's gonna be "Woke" but there's no social issues in the game at all. It's super censored but they go nuts with cussing. This is low-key a game you'd see Bart Simpson playing as a gta parody
