Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on Modern Warfare continues with the aftermath of the first phase of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022 (https://youtu.be/yBZPE9o2gHU). Previously we talked about the build-up to the new stage of the Russo-Ukrainian War, how Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine continued, and covered events between February 24th and April 7th, as we saw how Ukraine managed to win the first phase of the war. This set up the second phase of the war – battle of Donbas. In the previous video we covered the events of April of 2022 (https://youtu.be/K2N_fHKrWIg) including the sinking of the rocket cruiser Moskva – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvB2CPpdTMY, and how the conflict turned into the war of attrition in May (https://youtu.be/D-93q4GMFT0) and continued with Russia’s best month in June (https://youtu.be/SIm4mQihHdA). In the video dedicated to July – the 5th month of the war, we talked about the arrival of the HIMARS systems which strengthened Ukrainian positions and changed the war (https://youtu.be/WS0D0X8V6rg), while this video will focus on the events of August, as we will see how Russian logistics and manpower problems were worsened by the HIMARS strikes, the risk and intrigue around the Zaporizhia (Enerhodar) Nuclear Powerplant and the long expected beginning of the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kherson (https://youtu.be/2hZoQ4xebGw). This video will continue discussion of the Kherson counteroffensive in the first 2 weeks of September and will show how the Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast – Balakliya-Izium counter-offensive succeeded, pushing the Russians across Oskil and opening the way to north Luhansk and the important cities of Lyman and Svatove (https://youtu.be/gJRjKuss_Co). This video will give a six month summary of the conflict.

  1. Being from Czechia, I can tell you that we are cheering Ukraine from day one. The Ukrainians have operated their war in a well-sophisticated manner, well-disciplined and well-organised. Moreover, their officers are capable of becoming independent in their thought, something not exist in the Russian Army.

  2. Dont put Kosovo in the map of Serbia . Kosovo is a country recognized by almost all the west countries and with over 100 countries that do recognize it . Just because 3 Comunist countries , Serbia and some African nations who we dont even know their names 😂 dont recognize it , doesnt mean it isnt a country

  4. At 4:08 you said that the Ukrainians were bouyed by the defiant president. That is not true as Ukrainians are not leader dependent nation and were standing up because of their sheer will, not because of their president’s “heroic” deed of not fleeing.

  5. 12:35 holy fuck, they actually abduct Ukrainian children and throw them into Russian families? How incredibly messed up is this. I can't believe the world just watches this injustice not taking any active role in this conflict.

  6. I suspect Ukraine already has long-range missile capabilities that hasn't been made public yet. A truck explosion on the Kerch Bridge? I kinda believe not. Either way, those types of weapons should be made available to them anyway so that they can get this war over with quickly.

  7. 11:20 it's important to know that some russian people are afraid to shout out their opinions. maybe the number of pro war could be really 70 or even 50%. this is very reasonable people think about their safety first and speaking out your opinion that are against your country's oppressive regime could be really terrible for your safety

  8. Very good video. 😀
maybe i have a little suggestion. by naming other things like the training ukrainians received, or massive artillery support otherwise(caesar, pzh2000,m777…), immense medical and economic support, one of the other main reasons that they could stabilize their frontline and start to build up. the offensive was also timed with trained conscripts from the mobilization that kicked after a while 😀

  9. Poor Putipooh, he thought he had a world class military and forgot how inept and corrupt the soviet army was which he modeled his Russia after. Even at its height the soviet union was a joke with only manpower and nukes available to it as a deterrent. Now it is a shadow of its former self and can't even get enough manpower to support simple things like sock for their troops or fuel an ammo. At this point I'd be willing to bet the nuclear stockpile has been neglected by the same corrupt officials that neglected the Russian military and only a few at most missiles could launch. Most would blow up on launch like their conventional missiles.
