  1. You like the Runaway Five? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Earthbound came out in '94, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.

  2. Do you like MOTHER? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when MOTHER came out in '89, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of quirkyness that really gives the artstyle a big boost. He's been compared to other RPG's, but I think MOTHER has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Itoi released this,EarthBound, their most accomplished Game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is the Giygas fight, a battle so creepy, most people probably focus on the lore. But they should, because it's not just about the constant gaining of power, and the importance of friends, it's also a personal statement about the company itself. HEY SANS!!!!!!!!!! TRY GETTING IN SMASH BROS. NOW YOU STUPID BASTARD!!!!!!!!!

  3. In '95, Shigesato Itoi released this – EarthBound, his most accomplished title. I think its undisputed highlight is the Dungeon Man portion; a segment so bizarre, most people don't think about its subtext. But they should! Because it's not just a depiction of a dungeon designer quietly struggling to finetune their design, it's also a personal statement about the developers themselves. Hey Frank!

  4. Now I really wanna see the Runaway Five and Huey Lewis & The News do some sort of collab; I think it'd be up their alley!

…wait, what about Buzz-Buzz? What do they have to do with all this?
