The Second Battle of Tapae (101) was the decisive battle of the first Dacian War, in which Roman Emperor Trajan defeated the Dacian King Decebalus’s army. Other setbacks in the campaign delayed its completion until 102. The battle is most likely the battle scene depicted on Plate 22 of Trajan’s column.

  4. These Total War videos you churn out keep on getting better and better! In particular, those screenshots of blood and gore of Roman and Getae soldiers getting their limbs lopped off were priceless😈! As a suggestion for future videos in regard to both historical and non-historical battles, you should do the Battle of Kadesh (1274 B.C.E.) and Bay vs. Amenmesse (non-historical) for Pharaoh, the Battle of the Lycus (66 B.C.E.) and Ardiaei vs. Kush (non-historical) for Rome II, and the Siege of Milan (452 C.E.) and Burgundians vs. Ebdanians (non-historical) for Attila. Keep up the excellent work rolling out more videos of Total War battles👍😁!
