  1. You should really consider doing a playthrough series of this game. You don't even have to do it on your main channel incase you don't wanna screw up your analytics. Just throw up a let's play splattercat channel where you can do a deep dive and show games that you're interested. I for one love your commentary on this game in particular because you're so enthusiastic about the lore and makes watching you play it so much fun.

  2. I am a big WH40K nerd, but I have never played with this game system. I bought the game and it was a love at the first sight. Every.single.pixel of this game is pure Warhammer 40K! Owlcat studio went above and beyond with this one. Soundtrack – slaps as hard as the Emperor's power claw!

I thought I was going to have a hard time with the new game system… but no. It is very clear. And, on normal, it is actually too easy. I've been slappin' boss level characters with ease with my group. Two officers (a psyker and a main character who is also a sniper), one other sniper/psyker, Argenta, Abelard (or the Inquisitor) for melee, and later Pasqal (tech-priest) for mix. I've been mowing through the enemies, even the biggest fights usually get done before the end of round 2.

Officer characters are a huge deal. With all of their buffs and extra turns that they give, you basically double the firepower per turn of your group.

There is one boss character on this planet Splattercat is on (the very last boss), in my playthrough he shot at me twice… that's all he could pull before I killed him.

Overall, this for me is GOTY. Not only is it a great game in general, it is actually true to the world it is set in. This is a love letter to all WH40K fans out there. I could never get into Baldur's Gate 3 because it always felt like characters (especially companions) don't belong to the world they are in. They talk and behave like it is 2023. Breaks the immersion for me. Rogue Trader? Sucks you right in the world of 41st millennium and does not care about your real life morality and opinions. You are in the other world now, other rules.

I am simply loving it! And as soon as I finish my goodie two-shoes Iconoclast down to earth playthrough, I am going to replay it going full dogmatic, head in the sky uptight noble… before I go full heretic!

    It is SO fun!

  3. I own every single WH40K game …. or owned them. I have to say, this is by far my most favorite of all the WH40k games, hands down. This diverted me form playing Baldur's Gate 3…..

Owlcat did such a good job. I was kind of not looking forward to the ship combat, but I like it. The only thing that took me a little second was how the skill tree works, and still reading thru some of the skills.
I will be completing this game, before I jump on anything else. And that says a lot. I have already sunk 24 hours into the game, and I have only owned for 68 hours ….

  4. This game is surprisingly great, deep into the 2nd chapter and its all coming together, I wish the skills were easier to understand but once you "get" it, you're crafting battles multiple steps in advance. And the lore is juicy, the amount of choice in just simple coversations is peak roleplay. I recommend playing with the Toybox to further fix the difficulty if you're someone who isn't hardcore. I heal fully after every battle and have infinite medine bag charges..and I'm considering fixed initiative rolls because normal normal difficulty would be hairpulling for my old ass!😂

  5. sadly the game came too late to save the TTRPG system its based on which I'm sure would have had a resurgence in the coming months, Rogue Trader was one of a few spin offs of the Dark Heresy system but the company that made it never renewed/or lost their GW IP license meaning that the all the source and lore books and all of their other 40k TTRPG and board games etc have been out of print for years now

  6. You dont have to move to see if things can hit from this range, its enough that you click the position once so that a hologram appears and then you can look with your abilities what it looks like from that new position. No need to waste movement like in the first few minutes where you looked if that lightning has enough range or not.

  7. Looks good, I’m interested.
I really would like to see faster combat with these games. They need to lose the “miss with an 85% chance to hit” I miss those at least half the time.
Bullet sponginess seems alright in this game. That’s always annoying too.

  8. Well there are some issues but that is not the deal breaker for somethings I was waiting for so long…

The deal breaker is that I am so borrowed by the story and characters so far…and it does not look like there is gona be better later…

So far I left down the game 5 times by boredom…I even had to skip some dialogue because I was not even care for what this character had to tell me…

And that 's q huge fail of writing when you can't even hold me to the dialogue…I don't even remember his name…you know the "second in command" let's call him…

He started to tell me his backstop and I was…"I don't care leave me alone"…

I don't even remember the names of the two most "interesting" characters according to my taste, the sister and our navigator…

That's huge disappointment…in 5 hours n the game and they made me bored the game!!!

  9. I mean…. While I appreciate your love of vocab, you can't go apex or apogee if you mean the same thing. Just say apogee. Its the lesser used word and I totally had to google it. Also, if you want an amazing example of how shitty google has become as search engine… Google apogee meaning and see what the first few results are. Time to get wierd on these 40k games and hope a true google alternative comes out.
