  1. Spot on with Josh Aloiai playing back row but that ain’t his fault cos the dumb as selectors only picked 3 back rowers with the rest being middle forwards 🤦🏾‍♂️ then again he should’ve started su’a and tuilagi at 2nd row also should’ve started Nu brown at hooker he had an outstanding season when he cracked 1st grade again hope he gets the nod ahead of Danny Levi next game

  2. Bro wtf are they talking about AFL players being cool? Absolutely the least cool people ever. I've worked with them up close and it takes all I have not to wedgie them and flush their heads down the toilet. They are mega dorks.

  3. Great pod guys enjoyed that one. Willie Mason is a legend – genuine nice guy I remember when he was over in Uk for the Tri-Nations tournament back in 2004 and Aussies and Great Britain were both in the final at Elland Rd in Leeds (which I went to) and I was working at Boots Chemist in Leeds city centre and to my shock Willie Mason came in 2 days before the The final and asked me where the headache tabs are and I showed him and I said good luck for the final on Sunday had a little chat and he said cheers and the headache tablets are for the hangover after the celebrations after they beat us poms 😂 🏉 haha I was a bit star struck seeing this big NRL legend

  4. I think Tonga really needs to be honest with themselves and forget about their past achievements. A NZ and Australia side with players playing out of position still would be able to put 12+ on PNG. That’s depth not only in terms of players but skill level. I don’t know about Tonga in this tournament because they’re still caught in the hype of being a dominant team when the last time they beat AUS, they had on majority a different side. If PNG had some of those tries and calls go their way, they would have won by 12+ points. I expected Woolfe to be very disappointed and humbled by PNG performance but he was talking as if they were AUS or NZ with some level of depth, talking about they played themselves out of the game. Mate, Tonga defence got dismantled by the Kumuls number 9. If Tonga is to go further, they need to buy back into the culture of passion and pride over skill. I say this because I noticed the change in the way they’re talking about themselves. Tonga need to recognise that their strength is passion+pride+skill, while the other top two teams are stacked with player depth.

  5. I’m English and fairly new to the intricacies of League and I think this podcast was excellent. Loved Willie Masons dissection of the Samoan capitulation and also learning about how England stormed the middle and went wide, something as a ‘newbie’ I just wouldn’t notice.

  6. Nigel Vagana left the Toa team because the management refused to accept two of the most elite coaches in the NRL, they turned down Bellamy and Bennett and that’s when all the retired senior boys backed right off the Toa team. The Puletua brother’s and Vagana tried their best to get Samoa to an elite level but the management are a bunch of thieves who held onto Parish because they know they can control him and that he would never demand anything from the management team.
