  1. The salon shooting in Atlanta was not specified as a hate crime. There have been mass shootings all over the USA. Crimes are being committed against people: black people, white people, Hispanic people, etc. There is mental health issue that needs to be addressed in this country, along with changes to our gun laws. If you look at the FBI reports, more hate crimes have been committed against other groups. Let’s fix America for everyone.

  2. The fact is covid Did originate in the Wuhan lab in China. And many in the US government were involved with Dr Fraudski and his gain of function research.
Another fact is that black people who are approximately 13% of the US population commit more violence against Asians, whites and even themselves ,
more than any other demographic in the country.
I Know PBS won't mention either of these two facts.

  3. Wow you did an amazing job of tiptoeing around the vast majority of attacks committed by members of the “community”. How are you to be ever trusted again when your programs are agenda driven and not truth driven?

  4. As awful as the following will sound I must say it. It's only natural to feel hurt when you lose your mother especially to an act of violence. He acknowledges that society sees him as a black man. Asians don't accept people like him. He acknowledges that as well. Why is he caping for them ? He owes nothing to the Asian community at large.

  5. I tried to watch this but was severely turned off by the carefully manipulated viewpoints. Only ONE incident was focused on- a rare case of the attacker being White. Over 90% of the attackers documented so far have been Black but they carefully hide that fact. In fact, they use the half Black son of one of the victims as their main interview ! And then they immediately try to tie Donald Trump to the root cause ? And bring out every Left Wing Democrat to blame the Republicans ????
North Korea and China's propaganda outlets are amateurs compared to PBS

  6. Here in NYC the vast majority of the anti Asian crimes are committed by African Americans. This type of crime has been happening to the Asian community in NYC way before the appearance of the Corona virus. Unfortunately, most Asians in the past never reported these crimes against them to the police. Accountability needs to be held from certain demographic sectors of society

  7. is this talking about how liberal states are trying to do away with civil rights? Like 2020 CA prop 16 which was defeated thankfully? And for another example Washington state SB 6406 in 2018? because many Asian Americans were against those.
Some would argue that's where real hate is – in these bills put forth by liberals to discriminate

  8. Divide and conquer tactics. The racist rhetoric, the loosening of gun laws, the marginalization of the "other" as the enemy and the war based political advertisements is intent on fomenting distrust and paranoia in the country. All while rights are strategically being stripped away. Remember…

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me

Today you can replace these groups with women, and LGBTQ so far… who's next? I hope for the best but plan for the worst.

  9. Violence against Asians is down mostly by blacks. In fact, according to the DOJ, Asians are the only group who are victims of violence more by another group (blacks) than by their own group. Look it up on the FBI or DOJ crime stats sections of their websites.

  10. It is very sad what happened to these Beautiful human beings. My deepest condolences to their families and friends. I also feel that they have been targeted due to the outrageous rhetoric spewed by the EX-president. The questions that I have is why for so many years and still today the Asian community discriminate against the Black community, they have been abusive by choking, spitting, punching, kicking, hitting with 2/4 wooden sticks and even shooting teens in the head over an orange juice that was being paid for.. all the while setting up shop, taking our money but never trusting us. They take our money and never support not one single charity or community program that could benefit the community that makes them wealthy while we stay poor. They don't take their businesses to the White community. They live in White communities and send all of those Black dollars back to the country they come from. They also have made deals with the manufacturer and distributors in the beauty and not to deal with Black Entrepreneurs because they would be put out of business. Can you imagine the product that we as one people who use a product almost exclusively are not permitted to prosper from. We need to start being honest about how the Asian community have also committed hate in this country! BLACKS have needed and begged for a hate crime bill forever and nothing! Asians got one in two weeks. Why is that? Bidden promised us to get him elected and he lied. We got nothing. Asians like everyone else never stood with the Black community. They hate us but love to take our money to enrich themselves. The American way.

  11. Hate? "Black" people have been lynched, murdered, lied upon, marginalized, discriminated, coughed at, spat at, r@ped, for hundreds of years and there isn't an Anti Hate Bill for them. Whyte, Asian and Latin are all on code to hate THEM and trying to get on code not to hate each other. WICKED

  12. Without watching this, anyone want to confirm for me that the underlying message here is that despite most anti Asian hate crimes are coming from blacks, its really white people's fault and blacks and Asians need to stop fighting each other and band together to fight the real enemy of "white supremacy" (translation: white people). A message of unity early to set up for the ultimate message of division later.

  13. Many open minded Asians are very well aware of the bad reputation PRCs unleashed on the world, the latest being the attack on protestors by the official communist thugs in Manchester. Regrettably, overseas Chinese and Asians are being dragged down by them. Indeed the PRCs are what the real Chinese term as '害群之马' or bad apple.
