  1. Since Gary and Garrett shared their spooky tales, I'll leave some of mine: for context I lived in a apartment that some lady who used to live there before supposedly played the ouija. Anyways of the many weird things that occurred one of them, I was standing in the room in the daytime where I shared with my siblings, they were all out for the day, so I was in the room alone, when out of nowhere I heard a woman's laugh next to me, earshot, (in a mocking sort of tone) where there was a tall lamp and a small closet next to me. I checked the closet…nada. There was an alleyway next to the apartment so I checked if anyone was walking by but didn't see anyone either. If someone was laughing in the alley there would have been an echo, I didn't hear an echo, it sounded right next to me. Then I was just weirded out for the rest of the day and tried to forget it.

Another instance one where the blender turned on in front of me while I was sitting at the kitchen table but nobody with me.

  2. "Bit of a stretch for me …the guy with the chainsaw head."
Probably hasn't seen the glory of a Guy With A Gun For A Head yet either that is No Guns Life.
    Tsk-Tsk-Tsk…

  3. I feel like what we're dealing with is generations of bad parenting. Years ago a guy by the name of doctor spock said 'don't spank your children'. Generations later we have legions of self-important, entitled, spoiled, rotten, adults who equate criticism with 'trolling'. Mauler is right: if the reviews had received praise, frosk would have taken credit for it, even if someone else did the work. But criticism is met with a temper tantrum. The same goes for the she-hulk writers. Everyone loves to be praised, but only adults can handle criticism without falling apart

  4. a very off topic question, but still somewhat related, since people tend to bring this up in similar arguments. As someone who really only know the movies + lore from fandom sites and discussions. Why are people fixated in that Arwen is a warrior in the Nazgul chase?

Note my question isnt about if the change is good or not (i think its fine but again, i havent read the books, just got a general idea about glorfindel and that hes quite damn important in general), but rather the idea of why people think she's portrayed as a warrior?.

Sorry again for the wrong place to ask, but i feel here is a good source and its brought up in arguments both for and against RoP so decided why not.

  5. Gary's wrong. There are kids watching this show. Kids at my church watch it. I try to tell them and their parents that they really shouldn't, but I don't think I'm getting through to them.

I feel like I need to say it again. Kids at my very conservative church in South Korea are watching this show.

  6. Can you imagine if a man conjured a woman out of thin air just for sex in a work of fiction?

Oh wait, that happened in Pixels. Yeah, Pixels. Anyone remember that? I do. The feminists were having an absolute conniption about that. Part of the reason I hate that movie so much is because it forced me to agree with feminists.

  7. The fact that they’re saying the next season will respect the source material is proof the fandom won this round. RoP is not being accepted as part of the actual canon and won’t be remembered that way, which is what Amazon wanted.

  8. You do pretty well talking about things you're passionate about. Stick to that. You know nothing about vegans so maybe don't speak on the things you know nothing about. Leave that behaviour to the left, thanks.

  9. Harfoots ARE HOBBITS in fact the Harfoot clan is the ORIGIN of the name Hobbit….because Harfoots wre HOLE-DIGGERS hehehe!

" Hobbit was the name usually applied by the Shire-folk to all their kind. Men called them Halflings and the Elves Periannath. The origin of the word hobbit was by most forgotten. It seems, however, to have been at first a name given to the Harfoots by the Fallohides and Stoors, and to be a worn-down form of a word preserved more fully in Rohan: holbytla 'hole-builder'." Lotr appendix F

🙂 so they completely butchered the Harfoot lore 🙂 they burrow in the ground to make holes to live in :).

  10. How does She-Hulk help with sex positivity? We already had the Sex and the City TV series, the movie, and the rebooted show, the 50 Shades of Grey books and movies were popular, and other shows that reference women dating. We even have women casually referencing the existence of OnlyFans. What more do we need?

  11. I’m 58 years old and I’ve loved The Hobbit and LoTR my whole life, and I literally cannot put into words that I watched 20 minutes of ROP and switched it off. I would watch content like the movies all day every day, can’t even make myself watch this. Same with Star Trek Discovery, it’s deeply upsetting to me.
