  1. Hi! I have horse breed suggestions I don't think you've done yet! The breeds of South Africa!
Including Boerperd ponies and Nooitgedachts. They have a very interesting history, all dating back to the original Cape Horse breed. South Africa is great for horse lovers and I really recommend the experience.

My first pony that I leased was a Boerperd and he had the biggest personality and willingness. I miss him so much. There's a horse at the stables I go to now that's a Nooitgedacht and she's quite the handful! Beautiful grey though.

  2. The first time I saw the Budweiser Clydesdales I was HOOKED. And the first time I sat on a pony in one of those pony walkers where there are 5 or 6 and they walk around and around, I was completely in love and knew I had to have a horse. I've had 7 horses in my life, unfortunately none were a Clyde or any type of draft horse. Now I'm 65 and, really shouldn't ride anymore, age and old injuries keep my feet on the ground. But I would NEVER give up the chance to ride a Clyde or any draft just once.

  3. Firstly: One never grooms or cleans a horse's hoof without the horse being tied

Secondly: One never puts a saddle on a horse or a snaffle on a horse without the horse being tied

It seems that there is a lack of knowledge nowadays handling horses to make sure that there are no accidents occurring. Watch the high level German horse riders (old school) and learn how to do it properly. The way you handle the horses is dangerous and not appropriate

  4. Beautiful horses, seem happy and full of spirit! Cant imagine being on an 18 hands horse when it breaks into a canter! Have you visited a Friesian farm yet? Can't wait to see!

  5. This is an amazing wee video. I love horses but have a special place in my heart for Clydesdales. You are so lucky to be able to get up close and ride Sonny. He is a Total Powerhouse. I love these breeds.

  6. I have a 16.2 hand half Clyde who's black and white. Best horse I've ever owned. ❤️ They are gentle, kind, affectionate, smart, and loving. He's 33 years old now (96-97 in human years) and I've own him for 28 tears. Don't know that I'll be able to replace him.

  7. Clydesdale are lovely, I sat on one years ago, I looked like a pea on a mountain. The only problem with them is like all larger draft breeds is they're extremely strong, if they bolt, you have absolutely nothing to stop you. The one I was one was out on a hack with his owner and his wife with her Highland, something happened and the Highland put her in the ditch, the Clydesdale took off road the one and the man could not stop him, luckily we were at the end of the road so managed to lure him with a treat.
