  1. Those animal prints on the windshield? Not a rat, there's no tail drag mark. Even on flat ground, rats drag their tails. In fact, those marks look markedly like a production crew member winding you up…

  2. In the early days of the Pug 205 GTI (1984-6 ) you could actually HIRE ONE near London Heathrow from a company called Town and Country. (other car hires were boring). Pre Internet days so you had to find them
I left Stoke and worked abroad in the Oil industry , came back once a year, hired a Pug 105 1.6 GTI in 1986
What a month on Holliday I had !
Yes it was the car to be seen in and it was faster than most Fords ! Ladies loved it. I was married! A real Classic !

  3. Doesn't surprise me that they would rather scrap a lot of the classic Top Gear era cars, rather than auction them even for say charity of any other such, given how much the BBC despised the old trio, the top gear trio, then again, the BBC have a rather nasty habit of prefering to "hide" their mis-steps or "embarrasments" and pretend it didn't happen, that it was not their fault or that simply, "lets not talk about that". Clarkson punched a producer and was NOT fired (as tv-personalities are contracted, not hired), and for the other "main" focus I chose to high-light how stupidly BBC are acting, yeah, brits probably which former 'Sir' I am on about there.

  4. The Peugeot should be called “Olivier” after the French racing driver Olivier Panis who drove around an ice / snow track against a Morris Marina in one of the Top Gear challenges…..
