hoping this one is one that I underestimated going into the season! their burst still feels really good, and they have plenty of modifiers. lots of cleave, lots of single target, and the same frequent burst windows from proc wings that they had in dragonflight.

of course, they may not be taking an ENTIRE health bar in 1 button press like then, but a comp like cupid could help with their caster weaknesses and have a nice cc chain from hoj trap fear, or even hoj trap blind.

unbound freedom and double steed still helps with the mobility issues, and is great into melee cleaves for chasing or escaping. ret has traditionally struggled mightily into wizard, but again, a marks or a BM hunter could help with this. perhaps ret will find its place into the meta!

this guide should help get in position to milk the most power out of your spec as you can, and if some A or S tier comps are made for ret, you should be able to jump right on board!

this PVP GUIDE goes over GEAR (and how to get it), STATS, trinkets, WEAPONS, enchants, talents, BUILDS, PVP talents. All the good stuff.

  1. ADDED radiant decree nuke build as an alternate in the description. try this out to sacrifice a little generation and sustain (both dmg and healing) for one of the craziest AoE nukes in the game RN. TRY IT!!

  2. its hard to pick any other class to play outside of my rogue and hunter due to how badly this dev team has been doing balancing.

im scared to play my shaman,dk,paladin alts.

  3. Consecration build can be nice vs kiters, you take the auto proc consecration on blade of wrath that you took, you swap to zeal for increased AA speed, you then take sanc or consec ground, that and snag the PVP talent for consecration to clear/suppress snares
it's pretty good for reducing kiting

I also like the radiant decree build but a bit modified

  4. Good guide! I would like to point out though that there actually is a Consecration package worth taking in PvP: the Sanctified Ground talent (turns Consecration into a Tar Trap) with the Hallowed Ground PvP talent (gives a Freedom effect to you and all allies in your Consecration) is incredibly useful; especially when kiting/chasing around pillars.

Also want to mention that, although it doesn't say it on the tooltip, Divine Protection can be used while stunned. I still usually run SoV, but its worth taking if your spider senses in the starting room are telling you that you're going to die in a stun.
