So duping to make a fun invasion build is scummy, but a pvp veteran intentionally staying low SL to sandbag on brand new players to the series to pump 1v3 youtube content is fine? Hmmm
I hate twinks and overleveled phantoms, but in most cases duping is a good thing, for example, I don't want to go through the entire game a third time just to get a few more upgraded weapons to try out.
I would have no remorse duping runes given the ridiculous costs to upgrade weapons and the silliness behind the currently favoured farming spots.

I understand what you’re saying jee fosho. I will admit that after using item gib to get a full box of starlight shards, it allows you to use fp much less conservatively and I think it’s the only way to get to regen. That being said there’s just so much cool shit in this game that I wanna try in PVP it’s just too exciting to not want to expiement as fast as I can. I’d rather spend more time actually fighting players than gathering stuff idk.

As long they dont cheat it doesnt matter why you lost. What is the difference to lose to someone with legit/duped item? I guess you need something to heal your ego so that may work. Enjoy.
Didn't realize souls PvP community had so many cheaters, I'm not surprised tho. This comment section just makes me proud for building all of my characters (which I invade with) from scratch.
If you don't like the game enough to play through it again, what makes you think you deserve a bunch of different decked out characters? Now it makes sense why I kept seeing late game gear in RL40 stormveil invasions, these mofos are def cheating to get a bunch of stuff.
Knowing item locations and which bosses to use gold foul foot on can boost you up really quick
lol pvp in this game is a literal joke lmfao I feel sad for ppl who actually care about it….of all the games I've played with pvp, its by faaaaar the most unbalanced and cheesy on this game, so much so that it isn't even fun…..ironically the PVE content is amazing af tho…..if you wanna pvp play a game that actually balances itself around pvp
The only thing in this game I could understand doing that for is smithing stones.
I literally spent almost 2 hours farming ONE curved greatsword. Hell I'm duping that shit if I want to dual wield them

Duping just ruins the actual thrill of the rpg experience. Impatient people will dupe but their impatience will show in their gameplay and they will inevitably still get rekt hard in pvp
I strooooooongly disagree with this. Why are you forcing people to pve more? Duping to me means duplicating an item you WOULD NOT be able to get in any other way. You can get the item twice but why force someone to farm more or to do NG+?? It's just a shortcut so you can spend more time pvping. I never do NG+ in any game because I think it's silly to redo the same content over again.

I still duped item. I don't do PVP or any of the online stuff anyway. The game is already great as a Single Player Game. Besides, I want to try dual wield power stance on some and certain weapons.

I feel like after you’ve done a playthrough or two legit, duping is absolutely fair game. Not everyone wants to slog through the game every single time they make a new character. It’s an incredibly fun game, yes, but not every game is enjoyable the 10th time you run through it. I make multiple characters with different classes depending on the build I’m making, and I’m currently on my 3rd, and it’s already starting to feel tedious

For anyone wondering how you break up 3v1 blender ganks; first, you need passive poise. Second, put the poise crystal tear in your flask. Third, get a strong aoe attack that comes out fast and that you can follow up with, ideally one of those nasty stomps. Fourth, pick your moment . All of the same anti-gank tactics that worked in Dark Souls 3 still work in Elden Ring. Counter-pressure is still really important. You can dictate the cadence of the fight if you're smart and careful, like if you start sprinting away at the right moment, they won't all be in a perfectly equal position to follow you. One of them is going to be coming in first, so if you stagger your hits rights, you can jam up their pressure and force them to retreat. This is good advice for the majority of melee builds, but there are actually a lot of ways to pvp in this game, and a lot of good ways to respond to ganks.
Honestly it's not that bad if you're not duplicating shit that helps them to get an edge. I mean the game allows you to dupe boss souls basically so I think it just depends on what rune level you're invading at like if you're trying to do high high-level meta then yeah I don't see any problem saving time. But yes there's clearly a difference when you know you're like Rune level 30 and have like a + 17 immediately that is a yeah not good. I just don't think it's all that bad.

People really rather sit and grind the same enemy for HOURS for like 1-2m runes. When you can simply dupe 7 stacks of lord runes and make like 35m in 10 MINUTES. Duping cuts out pointless and time consuming grind, letting you enjoy actual fun content.

If you can dupe all that gear than you can dupe flowers to craft the summon item so they get absolutely nothing by ganking in a 3 v 1, I don't understand why they even waste there time with it, maybe they are 12 year olds, only way it makes sense.

Imo the only things that are reasonable to dupe are ashes of war. It's so unreasonable, that you don't get an unlimited amount of at least the standard obes. Being unable to change your scaling without wasting a limited resource is dumb. Not being able to try out ashes without a massive commitment is too.
