I'd like to think of it as Resident Evil 3 just more territories to be explored within raccoon city.
I always wanted an open world Raccoon City. They could definitely make it work.
Open world environments will be a welcome addition to the survival horror genre. If these games weren't action-oriented at all then I would have found the overall gameplay to be far more frustrating than scary.
