  1. Jonah, it sounds like a long road to recovery. Every accident is. You are young but don’t stop striving for a recovery your parents are comfortable with. I’m on year #4 from a broken sternum. All good but the β€œphantom” pains and aches from the overlapping break. I never had a broken bone until 8 years ago-digging in with my toes and pushing/pulling a heavy cart broke my metatarsal bones in 2 toes.

  2. I do hope you all get better quickly. I'm so sorry I'm so far away I can't get over to give you a hand, and I'd love to. (You seen the prices of air fairs?) I am glad you have such good support around you. The farming community is a close one. Love to you all. x

  3. Dr Michael Millis at Boston Children’s Hospital. Bone specialist. Saved my brother from dying from a broken neck. Founding Director of child and young adult hip preservation program. Senior associate, orthopedic surgery. You can tell him that Adam Hill’s sister sent you. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

  5. If you can make it to Northern Virginia, I can recommend Dr. Bradley Boyd for a second opinion. He helped me when no other hip surgeons would. He replaced both my hips and I trust him implicitly.

  6. Wow! Just saw the commercial for School of Trades! Awesome Justin. About Jonah, why do they have to keep cutting on him? Just maybe he should see a top surgeon in the world and get his leg/hip fixed once for all? Seems like cutting on him this often would be counter productive. Wouldn't all that scar tissue work against his recovery? I feel so sad, he's so young and whoever the surgeons are must not be very good. They missed the flap on hip joint the first surgery. That probably didn't need to happen. I'm really worried about him on becoming a chronic pain patient for his future. I ran a nonprofit pain organization for several years and was Florida state leader for the American Pain Foundation too and the majority of chronic pain patients all had several surgeries leaving them suffering and disabled for life. So please get to a top surgeon maybe even need to go to another country to find them but he's young and this shouldn't be happening. Jmo. πŸ˜”

  8. It's funny that most of your viewership watches on Sunday. That's the day I go to church and then watch a bunch of other pastor's sermons online. i feel guilty if I am watching other videos like yours.

  9. Like I said before for Jonah's leg…Functional Patterns. Look it up. No more surgeries..messages muscles just go back into place. Functional Patterns work the muscles though movement.

  10. I'm sure you checked this, but I have a friend who had similar problems and it turned out the screws contained tiny parts of nickel which were poisoning her…. Have they checked the components of the screws to make sure they aren't creating heavy metal issues? You guys are such awesome parents… yet a part of me wishes you could take him to the best specialists in the country even if it means you have to get on a plane to get another opinion…. Apologies if this is overstepping — I'll probably delete this as it's none of my business. just care and respect for you and your family and your channel.

  11. from the beginning, Jonah has known instinctively, 'the better way' so many times. You've listened to him many times when you were running water…and doing other efforts around that farm. He's been buying his own tools – remember that first saw πŸ™‚ he was so excited. You do well…sometimes telling him, many times listening to him…and saying "why not try". It's a wonderful thing, growing children into men and women who can trust their own knowledge and ideas.

  13. Hey, would take Jonah to the mayo clinic in Minnesota. My mom went there when she couldn’t get the proper help here in Pennsylvania. She had a fusion in her lower back and she felt more confident there than any doctor she’s ever seen. Something this important, I would go to the mayo clinic.

  16. PRAYing! … for each of the various health needs; for strength and stamina; for wisdom and insights as daily homestead decisions are made… πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
I am impressed with the dynamics of the young men thinking through problems for different/improved solutions, and bringing you their suggestions. The capstone is your willingness and skill in giving them credit on the vlogs. It teaches us viewers that success on the homestead is the result of good teamwork. 🀠

  17. Just to give you guys some hope. I discovered at 12 that my knees were deformed and were bone on bone. I know it is a different joint then the hip. However, through PT I learned new exercises to strengthen different parts of my leg then what is generally used. It helped to take pressure off my knees some but did take a couple years to fully build up. I still will need my knees replaced at some time but it has been almost 30 years now. I just am sure to do those exercises daily or I pay for it.
