God bless all of you❤️🙏🏻🐾
I wonder if she would have done better with her puppies.
The hardest thing for me to do is to watch videos where dogs are in fear and terrified. In real life too.
Dogs are the best and should all be treated wonderfully as they deserve.
For one thing, unlike all too many humans, Dogs are LOYAL and LOVING without condition.
Their lifespans are so danged short that they should enjoy EVERY SINGLE DAY of their lives.
We as humans must treat them with the honor, love and respect that they deserve.
nine days of forcing her to do something she did not want to do, and you think you are helping..
do NOT worry about what YOU want her to do. think instead of her…
I hope Nyx is doing well today.
We adopted a rescue dog. She had been isolated and caged in a yard compound from about 6/7 weeks old. Let out only at night. She´d had many beatings and was half starved. Had mange and fleas. In her first adotive home she hid in the larder for nearly a month. Too afraid to come out. We were contacted by a Border Collie rescue service and asked if we could take her on. Our experience with having had 3 other borders in the past might help. We did the exact opposite of this wonderful, kind and amazing family. We decided to remove her ´self-safety´and make her stay with us 24/7. Hoping she would transfer her need for safety to be with us. Not hid away and isolated. We sat on the floor with her, slept with her and love bombed her. Within a week she was a changed dog. Still very scared of many things but rushing to us for safety. Everything, including my husband, terrified her! So he fed her, walked her. Slept with her. And as long as he didn´t raise his hands or arm or voice, she accepted him. Within a month she was happy, racing around. Adored my husband and began to socialise with other humans on walks. But it was about 3 months before, with happy sparkling eyes, she gave her first smile. And asked me to play ball. We´ve had her 2 years now. She has learned to play (she didn´t even know what a ball was for or how to look upwards if we threw a ball for her) She´s so confident, funny and cheeky and has learned to communicate (doggy fashion) what she wants and doesn´t want. So there may be more than one way to reach and draw out a dog which is shut-down. Perhaps it will depend on history and breed. But both ways are very valid. And I applaud this wonder family.
She needs another dog to help her along this journey. The foster family needs to have another dog.
I'd leave the door open, put a blanket and pillow down and sleep there with her so she will know I'm not going to attack her and I trust her not to attack me while I'm down and vulnerable
( Dogs know from the scent of your skin you really are asleep and that says 'more' than all the soft words in their language of scents…"I trust you not to bite me and here is proof" )
you need her around other happy dogs- she'll come right out of that shell shock
Poor baby
Who knows what she had to endure..poor thing! Glad she is loved now.
Nyx has a hugh black colored heart on her right rib cage… she's a beauty! She'll come around to trusting people… coming from a pack of dogs… her pack family… she's also depressed. She needs a dog buddy…

Awe the patch on her side looks like a heart
should of let her keep one pup so she isn't alone. It would bring her out of her shell.
What a cool name.🇨🇦
Putting her with the children was a great idea. Dogs are drawn to children anyway, and with her fear the kids might be a nice, safe gateway to adults. Someone in comments said she was adopted a year ago and has a forever home. Thank you for caring about her.
Bless all involved!
Adorable little girl. So wonderful to help her trust again to be able to have a forever family. God Bless!
She was just scared and didn’t understand what was going on.
Quite a shame that the poor dog lost so many puppies.
Humans can be so mean and cruel 😢. Animals have feelings too. God says the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
God bless kid !
This is why I despair of the human race. A dog will stand by your side until the end without flinching, with love in its heart. If you dont already donate time, food or money to a shelter.
