  1. Okay first I’d like to say, this anime is by far my favorite new anime of the season. That being said, I wasn’t as taken with this episode as I was with some of the others. To me this episode seemed really rushed, like it should have been split up into 2 episodes instead of just one. With that said I completely agree with you about the sex/ecchi, it’s nice to see an anime that isn’t afraid to incorporate that (and do it well). I’m looking forward to next week.

  2. I hear ya on the names. My brother and I went, "We're sticking with what we've been using. We'll change it when / if we get used to it." 🤣

The group is called Parabellum. I looked it up and it's Latin for "Prepare for war.".

    Gobrou and the Elves:

    1. He fixed the fights where the male elves lost and were executed and the female elves were kept.

    2. He denied knowing anything about the above elves when asked by the chief.

    3. What you had at the beginning, lmao.

    4. When elves come to seek help at the end, we find out that those earrings not only grant communication, but that they also camoflauge the elves as dark elves when viewed by other elves.

Gobrou is a very complex character, who can be a nice person or totally brutal. It's one of the reasons I like him.

As for the sexuality of the characters and how it's portrayed, I think they do a good job. They let characters look cool on screen, the imply who is with whom and why, but they use that curtain and keep the actual scenes short. Essentially a fade to black tactic. They are able to allow Gobrou to be who he is without it getting in the way of the story as a whole. And since the girls seem okay with it–we don't see any infighting–it doesn't come across as scummy. The Goblins have their own culture.

I also loved seeing Gobrou and Gobmi set Gobkichi up with the girl he liked. That was cute.

  3. I’m of two minds right now about this show. I like that MC is morally gray. He uses others for his own personal benefit and that includes mind controlling and abusing both male and female elves (gender doesn’t matter to him I guess). That said, I think the scene was too casual. I guess the casualness is a reflection of his attitude on using others.

  4. Btw, in the manga, that’s not why the elves join. They are locked up and hit with a sex drug smell for days until they give in. And the old man does get some action from that. So some of the more “nsfw” for normal tv is glossed over. But ya, good show. As a reader, happy for most part

  5. Only thing that has a big questionmark is : were is the next generation of goblins with all this fun and would they be Goblins or Ogers and how would that efect their groth. While i understand Goblins growing up fast due to being weak if the same get aplyed to advanced evolutions like Ogers there would be little chance that humans would be still around with their 9 month and 15 year growing up in comparison….might not be the foki of the storry just a thoght. Found it funny that in Im a spieder so what Wakabas childreen became a menace that even scared the hero ,-)))

  6. I thought this was a good episode… perhaps a tad fast, but I think the studio probably has a point in the story they want to reach by the end of the season… and at last we have a multi-episode arc with the human hunters vs the elf and goblin tribes–best part of the episode for me. I'm happy that at least the MC doesn't shy away from/is not afraid of his love interests, but I do still think there's enough blood/gore in this show that going harder on the ecchi shouldn't be an issue.
