What I would like to see in RDR2 Remake/Remaster
I won't say graphics improvements, as that's pretty much a guarantee. But I will say…
-Further story expansion and dialogue of the events in RDR2, a few mentions of Arthur, Sadie and Charles. Particularly Sadie and Charles as you would think the Agents would have gone after them too,..maybe a quick explanation as they didn't or why they weren't able to find them.
-Improve hunting and horse selection, make the horse usage more involved like it is in RDR2.
-Tweak the looks of the characters a bit, particularly Dutch to make him look more like he did in RDR2.
-Maybe allow the player to cut his hair and grow out a beard, not necessarily needed, but it would be fun.
-Expand the Epilogue and give Jack a couple more missions.
-I know some won't like this,..but maybe update the voices of Javier and Uncle to match their RDR2 voice actors.
-Have John able to write and update Arthur's and his diary, pass it off to Jack in the end. It would be cool to see if John had entries between RDR2 and RDR1. Maybe get an explanation of what exactly happened with the daughter who passed away.
-Finally, find a way to reference or includes Arthurs hat.

If Rockstar is smart they will do a really good remake because everyone that bought RD2 will buy RD1 Remake. I have the original RD1 and unless I have a reason to buy RD1 I won't buy it. It's still a good, playable game.
I hope it doesn’t get the rdr2 engine bc it is not super great itself so they should make a new and improved gun system which doesn’t require you to take cover to survive for a minute

I'm really looking forward to potentially seeing RDR1's multiplayer again, or if they're gonna change or revamp Red Dead Online with this remake.
I’ll never understand RDR2 “fans” that will replay it multiple times and not bother to play the first one. The literally continuation of the story and foundation of the legacy.

Judging by the Korean rating that describes bodily injuries & gore from firearms sounds like they're describing the dismemberment and slow bleeding of enemies dying from gunshots rdr1 didn't have that, but the rdr2 engine does which makes me think remake
Rockstar is lazy, it will be a remaster. They'll take the original game, drop it in the RDR2 engine and tweak it until it functions

I’m hoping it’s a remake, I know remaster takes a while to release but remake seems something rockstar can make huge money sales with it. Though remaster is awesome because people can play the original seeing how the game is before rdr2. ❤❤

I've been waiting for someone to bring this topic up. although I'm up for either, it would be extremely unique for rockstar to try their hand at a project like this and basically remake an entire old game but this time with the new lore they created years later.
I played so much RDR1 as a kid I swear when this/if this game releases I will turn into a no lifer once more I enjoyed RDR1 more than RDR2 for some reason so rockstar already has my money
A remake would be better so they can add better continuity from rdr2 to rdr1 . Javier , Dutch and bill feel less familiar when you see how they were in rdr2 . It feels more like coworkers from a Walgreens killing each other than a family in rdr1

I think it’s more likely to be a remaster.
However, If I was rockstar, I would make it a remaster and add a few stranger missions for john to tie into rdr2, make jack’s epilouge bigger with characters like charles returning to breechers to see the graves, Meeting peggy stuff like that, Do undead nightmare, And port over rdo and add multiple new roles and missions and free roam content.
Rockstar cant abandon rdr2 and then also fumble a rdr remake that would destroy them😂
The undead night mare would have to be a remake as well if they do decide to go this way I think

How have you never even played Red Dead 1! 😱 RDR2 is the best game ever made by far.
I'm 35 years old. I played 5:59 1 when it was bramd new, and then u dead nightmare also when it was all brand new. I didn't get rdr2 when it first came out because I loved the original so much I didn't want it to be ruined… however, this year in 2023 I purchased rdr2 and OMG it was and is the best game ever made. Graphics are amazing, and the story is just perfect. Infact I can't imagine any movie or game coming close to red dead 2… the game and story were perfect. I mean John Marston was such an icon to me, but then Arthur beat his character hands down. Sooooo as a remake or remaster, I don't care. I just want more of rdr2 graphics and story. So yes, I will play a remake or remaster either way. But a remaster of the original, with the quality graphics of rdr2 will be amzballs… and since I and a lot of other gamers grew up knowing the rdr1 story, we don't want the whole story changed tbh. Arthur gave his life to give John his life after the gang. Then the feels of John dying in the original won't have the same effect…. so keep the story we know as it is, just give us rdr1 with rdr2 graphics and playability. But I'm red dead 3, give us the life of Charles after he left John once they killed Micha. Charles said he wanted to go to alaska and start a family. That's the perfect story for rdr3 and will end the trilogy perfect. If he survives and actually has a good life after. So everything we experienced had a meaning.
I'd be happy with a remaster but RDR2 Undead Nightmare + Mexico would be awesome as well . Hell , I'd buy it again if I could play it on PS4 .

A remake would be nice but R☆ are cheapskate company. They will find a way to remaster RDR as cheap as possible. I doubt they will even re-license the music either. 😂
