  1. Nobody is wrong as it is a personal opinion. However, I am more in line with Craig's picks as I am drawing a distinction between being disturbed and repulsed. However, there can certainly be some overlap. As a kid, the Alien chest burster scene was profoundly disturbing. Also, a couple of the scenes in the Omen (birthday suicide, decapitation) . I find Alice, Sweet Alice as a whole pretty disturbing. Roger Daltrey's tracheotomy in The Legacy and all of the deformed people in The Sentinel.

  2. I agree with Craig, most of the films mentioned are to be avoided by the more sensitive natured of us and I feel I the need to defend Craig's choices and the man himself as he got a bit of 'stick' for his 'disturbing' film picks. I always enjoy what every member of the crew has to say but it doesn't mean I would watch all their recommendations. I think that the banter ended in a respectful, friendly nature and everyone realised that the title was 'disturbing', not sick and gory beyond all realms of taste. As long as no-one gets hurt and are consenting then anything goes but I will choose what's disturbing and what I watch. Thanks fellas and thanks again Craig for your film choices which I would watch.

  3. I remember at one of the HH shows, 2 female patrons saying that thought "The movie that will not be spoken" was the funniest thing they had ever seen and I still think they were full of shit and just wanted to be seen as outrageous.

  4. "Tusk" by Kevin Smith (believe it or not!). Amazing acting, unbelievably disturbing imo.
Murder scene in the original Robocop -half the cinema walked out at that point when I saw it!
    Hostel series is pretty bad.
    Salvador is extremely upsetting.
Eraserhead is sick, but so cool!
The Elephant Man can't fail to disturb and move one!
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre-The Beginning.
Feed- great crime drama about a really sick website!
Hannibal- I'm sorry, but I find this film gross!
Rollerball with James Caan- just really macabre and cruel.
And last but not least-A Clockwork Orange (but the book is where it's at).

  5. Inspired by Craig’s choice & his colleagues ribbing him.

Have you considered doing disturbing kids/family movies.

That moment after you’ve watched that kids/family film & you say, ‘What were they thinking? What made them think that kids would enjoy this & not be disturbed?’

  6. Great show, I agree with many of the picks (except Craig's), honorable mentions would be The Last House on the Left and Death Wish 1 an 2, for the brutal rape scenes

  7. There's a lot of great picks in both lists. Especially Nekromantic (which I wish I would have never seen) and Iirreversible (which is one of the movies that I hated almost more than any I've ever seen).

For me personally, I would also go with Compliance. Based on a true story and man, what a hard watch at times.
Pink Flamingos (watch it for yourself) and Man Bites Dog, which I actually love.

  8. Cheers. Brought back my days of trading VHS tapes of underground horror movies in the 80's and 90's. Necromantik was certainly a 'desired' find but you are quite correct when you call it an absolute piece of shite.

  9. For me it's "Rosemary's Baby" by Polanski. I watched that picture at the age about 11 years, while my parents were away. Nightmares for weeks, paranoid schizophrenia. I still reject Mouse au chocolat

  10. Oh yes. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is so disturbing. But I like it hehe. Watched Cannibal Holocaust with a friend once, that sicko was eating meat with potatoes while watching it.

  11. A Serbian Film would definitely be my number one as well. As Chris said, it is an exremely well-made movie with good actors but like Antichrist a movie that you don‘t want to see again and makes you question yourself for watching something like that until the end -truly disturbing.
Funny Games ( the original, not the US Remake ) was pretty disturbing as well. Haven‘t seen it in a long time but back in the day it was a really uncomfortable experience …
