I came across these old paperback scifi zines, circa 70s and 80s , and GRRM has writings and short stories in alot of them one being a old version of night flyers.. im holding onto a couple of them myself but i think they may be up your alley and i was wondering if I could send them to you?. I thought they were cool Analog is the name of the zine.

PLEASE David or someone else please answer or address this for me because it just dawned on me. I’m under the impression that we assume that the velaryons weren’t dragon riders in Valyria and do not have the blood of the dragon. Going off of that logic, Leena and Laenor are dragon riders thanks to their mother Rhaneys’ blood. So with that being said, how the HELL is Addam Velaryon a dragon rider if Corlys is his father? Wouldn’t it HAVE to be Laenor?

I wonder if we are going to see Aemond feel guilty after blood and cheese, seeing as how he didn't premeditate killing Lucerys (and maybe regret the act?). Futhermore but not necessarily, it would make it more dramatic if the child was his and not Aegon (even though I am leaning on him and Healena not having an affair (maybe if we got some more hint, along with the scene with the children actors at the funeral of Laena, when they are adults I would believe it tobbe more probable…), but probably the grief of your neview dying is close enough (and sufficient to feel guilty) to that of your child dying.

The thing that makes me wonder if there was supposed to be a hint about aemond and helaena (though tbf i dont think it natters, maybe he was more intense in the war cause his kid happened to die but ehhh?) Is that it rhymes with later historical events.
Like, there was a huge rumor that Aemon the dragonknight was banging the mistreated and neglected sister wife of Aegon the 4. You could kiiiinda see an aemond/ helaena affair as a darker version of that i guess? Difference is these kids dont live long enough to jnspire anything like the blackfire rebellions.
