One of my favorite stories in the SCP universe.
Well they did say that they found numerous unknown species of plants and items that nobody had ever seen before and something that killed four agents when activated is it that big of a stretch to think that he during his travels came across something anomalous that perhaps did transfer his consciousness into the sea slug but due to his knowledge ending in 1910 that would indicate if such an event happened that that's when it most likely happened because he was kept in the vault beneath that lady's house for God knows how many years so obviously he wouldn't have any knowledge outside of what he already accumulated because he had no access to the outside world at that point
a false god claimed to be Christ's second comming and took over the world during the renaissance, then ate the whole world and seek to invade the prime timeline
but now the scp foundation protect it, and wouldnt be able to subvert this timeline
"HIM" could subvert the horizon initiative(the christian anomalous branch that act like a modern inquisition against anomalous religions like the broken church and the sarkites), but the initiative isnt powerful enough to oppose the foundation

and Theodore Roosevelt was a friend of lord blackwood before he was president
Far too often it's the rich man with more intellect and curiosity than actual common sense that seems to get themselves entangled in situations such as this.

the stories he tells are almost certainly true and the events talked about happened with little to no embellishment whether the slug is indeed Lord Blackwood transformed or its a normal sea slug somehow endowed with his memories is uncertain and up to interpretation
