FLAME discuss the relevance of Lutheran thought for contemporary times. Particularly, concerning rap Culture, reimagining Christianity, community impact, & Lutheran strengths related to the way forward.
Could it be said that Flame is doing the same thing he did as a Calvinist? Leaning to much into the denomination and their theological views boxing himself in all over again just with another denomination? Are we called to be Lutherans, Calvinist, Baptist etc or Christ followers?
Yo!!! This is so dope!!! frfr… Nah, I believe in allowing the youth/people, in general, to use art to express themselves, whether expressing their emotions or just creatively… I believe as Lutherans. Thanks for allowing God to use you!! (I guess I need to stop procrastinating and start working on my 501-3c)

I like the idea of leaning into the good thing that people have found in God's creation, meeting them there, recognizing the good and then providing them with an opportunity to see that God has provided even more. Very encouraging. Thanks!
Adding to the "on ramp" discussion… one Lutheran church where I was a member had a "buddy" for every new member. Although I have been Lutheran my entire life, it takes a while to figure out how a new congregation works. This buddy would walk with us as we got to know people in our new church home and how things were done. It worked really well for those who were new to Lutheranism because they would sit on a Sunday morning with their buddies who would help them navigate the hymnal, when to sit and stand, etc. It worked really well, and when I moved to another Lutheran church, I introduced it there too, where it also worked very well. Both churches were in the Greater Toronto Area, so urban churches, although I think it would work equally as well in a rural or small town church.
This was fascinating, thank you. I wonder, which do you think is more of a challenge, for a good rapper to become a good theologian, or the other way around?
