  1. A fun Regular Pat drinking game for the holiday season. Take a drink every time:

I swear (only for the brave souls)
I bring up the critical level 1 run
I bring up my first playthrough
    I make a reference you don't get
I ranked something improperly (too high/too low)
    I badmouth KH2 or DDD

    Good luck have fun!!

  2. I can understand Anti-Baymax as he's a flying boss with unusual flying controls.
Well, I mean, Hercules was able to grab the tornado in the animated movie. So, Sora being able to smack it with the keyblade is no different.

  3. I'm glad to always see a video from you Pat. I can always feel the passion and love for the series you have in each video and I regularly go back to your older vids just cus I feel you have such interesting analysis. I've always wanted to try and make content for KH but have always stopped myself. Then I see you make a jump for it and find your own success and it inspires me. Thank you for all the hard work and if I was in a better financial situation I'd be happily supporting you on patreon

  4. I never knew someone else would rank the court of Xehanort as the best boss fight in KH3. Finally someone else gets it. My personal favorite part of this battle is the MUSIC. My god the music is an absolute MASTERPIECE. All 3 character themes remixed and combined into 1 theme. Forze Del Mal, Darkness of the Unknown, and Dark Impetus fused together into Forza Finale which is a more epic version of Data Xehanort’s them Oscurita Di Xehanort/Forze Dell Oscurita

  5. I love kingdom hearts reviews. There is something about it that is really comforting to me. Kingdom hearts was one of the first videogames I played with my best friend at age 8 so it's a series that has stuck in my memory. Thanks for the awesome review and the genuine words at the end speaking to us viewers. Keep at it my friend, keep giving it your all!

  6. I dunno, I died to kh1 tutorial bosses, and I never died to rock titan in kh1, I think calling him a tutorial boss level is underplaying kh1 tutorial bosses

  7. Please, Nomura, for the love of God give us the Sonic Heroes style Kingdom Hearts game we want with playable SRK, RXL, VTA, and MDG story campaigns. I was so happy getting to play as Roxas and, especially, Kairi in the Re:Mind. Give the fans what they want!

  8. For that Kairi comment during the Nort Court; it would have been so easy to still have her “killed” off while not makes it so insulting: just make her sacrifice herself for her friends. Same result, significantly better character moment.

  9. Sorry dude but my experience with the replicas was kinda the opposite, think i had ultima weapon at the time and never even seen their DM unless i fucked around.

I was even annoyed because i wanted to explore the prety city.

  10. Remember that time darkside was the final boss of a ds game … i consider castle oblivion's re:codeds post game

Im just going to live my life thinking the drag n drop was a reference to the in game drag n drop command in that game

  11. I know you didn't include any of the Data Fights, but I think excluding Xion was a huge missed opportunity. She's not really a boss you fight at the graveyard and I think she's definitely the most special out of the 13 datas. Well in any case it was still a fun video.

  12. Hey pat, I just found something out about the kh remixes that I think you would find cool. Did you know that in the kingdom hearts remixes, they actually color code the save menu based on console? (Green for Xbox, red for switch, blue for PlayStation). Great video by the way!

  13. I just finished reading the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days novel recently (though, I still have yet to beat the actual DS game), and as a MAJOR fan of the sea salt trio and their stories, I REALLY can't wait to see your 358/2 Days video!

That and it's been almost a year since I officially became a Kingdom Hearts fan! Thanks so much for helping me stay invested in this marvellous series, Pat! It means a lot!

  14. Maybe I just suck, but the difficulty is absolutely much higher on Critical in KH3 than critical KH2, in my experience: yeah, KH2 crit has some utterly brutal points, like that one hallway before the data fights, but other than that, you’re pretty safe once you make it to Olympus: not super safe, but the number of abilities you can equip by that point turns Sora into a high speed blender, so enemies don’t actually GET many chances to hit your piddly defenses.

In 3, you do much less damage on Critical than in 2, and that means big groups are actually really scary, because while you’re wailing away at one guy, there’s another guy who will come walking up behind you to clap your ass. The bosses are far less vicious feeling due to being able to actually focus on one person’s patterns, but you still need to survive a lot more damage trades than in 2. And this will be a problem throughout the game, with hordes only very slowly becoming less terrifying as you reach later worlds

Of course, that doesn’t really tie into the “vanilla” experience as much

13:20 I think he’s more freaking out because it’s the equivalent of having a sick bat in your house, and you do NOT want to have to get that fucking rabies vaccine in the stomach. I mean, the guy literally calls himself the exterminator in Monsteropolis

13:50 it makes more sense when you remember he has King Mickey and not Donald for white magic

(Yes, I know he’s not that bad, and he’s a Black Mage who’s stuck babysitting more than anything else, but the meme is obligatory)

26:00 to be fair to Ice Titan, KH3 seems to be trying to pull an MGR sort of power scaling with its tutorial, by pointing out that Sora’s weaker than he could be… and STILL having him shred monsters that literal GODS struggled with. Plus, of course Ice Titan was gonna be easier in a game where you can actually reach his face without needing to block 500 missiles

41:10 it took me until now to realize the “joke” is that it’s a Puppet pretending to be the real thing, and a Puppet Master pretending to be a puppet.

  15. The Nort Court is truly near perfect for me.

The music, the fuggin team coordination with the three baddies, the fact that one of em will deliberately focus on you after each small break in combat, and that this is these motherfuckers going out with a bang. The only thing that woulda made it perfect 100% is if Kairi were there instead of Mickey so we could finally have SRK as a battle trio but twas not meant to be.

  16. Personally when kairi got kidnapped by xemnas again in kh3 graveyard, i feel like instead the devs should have had her scream "get your hands off me!" then she whacks his hand, pins him to the ground and proceeds to beat the nobody essence out of him until he's little replica bits. and then sora's like "damn kairi, that was awesome!". Or she still does the hand whack, xemnas runs off and kairi yells "get your nobody cowardly ass back here! I'm not done with you yet!" and chases after him. Or literality anything that doesn't make her a damsel in distress again!

  17. Vulture gaved me PTSD of Ruler of the Sky from Days, at least Vulture was somewhat enjoyable compare to Ruler of the skies, especially on my first playthrough on a PC with only a keyboard. 🙂

  18. I had that happen to me as well. I thought I won but the game was like nope the ship still blew up. Like really? I remember there was this thing called I-frame that was granted at the end of each fight in case the boss attack manage to come out just after the final blow smh.

  19. The Nort Court and Guardian of Light fights are my most favorite boss fights in KH3 and probably some of my favorites in all of gaming.

Fighting 3 versions of the main villain with Sora's best friend and the mascot of Disney holds a lot more than just normal. You're also fighting the previous main villains of the games in a final, once and for all setting since this was the end of the Xehanort saga (until Dark Road but whatevs). Their combo attacks were just icing on the cake too, especially during the Keyblade raid, Riku and Mickey are yeeted away and the focus is all on Sora and they all combine their attacks at just him. Even the same for when the DM ends, it's awesome. Not to mention how the song Oscurita di Xehanort being a remix of Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort's themes all together making the fight much more epic.

The Guardians teaming up is just like how Pat says, a scenario that you imagine as a kid coming together for fanservice. If this is considered a boss or not, I don't care, I love it. The characters we've come to meet across the then 18 years of KH come together to team up and defend themselves while also having character moments together. Seeing interactions we've always wanted to see since their introductions. The combo attacks were PERFECT as well, everything about this fight got me so hype when I first played it, I specifically have a save file for that fight alone.

  20. 56:28 My head canon for that part is that she's based on a Mime from FF. All the Members are somewhat based on FF jobs, Dragoons, Samurai, Gamblers etc. Xion's is a Mime, the job that uses skills from other members of your party.
