She might be the one of the newest ships in the fleet but the KK2 class SMS Rammstein is out to make a name for herself! And yes the name is indeed a reference to @RammsteinOfficial

Will the Next Campaign have Shared designs again?
I read that while all saves get wiped, the Shared designs have to be cleared manualy. Will you clear them or will you keep them since a lot of them will not work anymore?
Second
Enemy ships are in flash fire:
1) French CA Fulminant (15:37)
2) British BB HMS Vanguard (29:40)
Helloween captains log December 1920
Goddamnit Rammstein gets a battle before us but some good news she didn't sink the battlecruiser they found the destroyers did so instead of being a glorious battle for Rammstein's crew they ended up embarrassed that they didn't kill a capital ship.
Helloween's captain's log Jan 1921
Rammstein done it again got into battle but then is unable to sink the target it attack and lighter ships had to finish it off with what I heard the crew had thought they had a better shot at being the new Yorick and then almost lost their ship.
Did you see that torpedo activate it's guidance system about 36:17 ? ha ha!
Maybe British do us a favor capture upper Egypt
I think you have to go with harder campaign difficulty to make use of the community designs, the AI just can't keep up in tech otherwise
The armour limits work well in the new beta it makes the ai far more effective at having the ability to sink player made ships as for the battle cruisers they have to be used in a more historical fashion with there historical belt armour there great for sinking everything but battleships and when fighting BBs you need to use there speed to keep them fighting from a distance that the armour is still reasonably effective I find the new beta far better in game play and requires a bit more thinking when designing and using the ships the new hulls ect are a bit repetitive but they do add some more depth to the fleet on the other hand the new 2-3 inch gun models for the British are a royal pain in the arse and need to be reverted to the un-armoured models
Given the German Community Campaign will end with the release of 1.4, which nation was being thought of for the newer campaign? Or is that a surprise 😛
If you want ideas on new games, Lamplighter league is fun.
I personally really like the armour reduction changes. Being able to stack so much armour made the game feel a bit too easy, that shells were neutered and kinda unintimidating, to me, but with the penetration changes and armour reduction things feel more like they should, where certain ships are just not ideal for fighting larger vessels, and it puts you on a more even playing field with the AI's "bizarre" armour choices, not to mention the limits creep up over time, anyways, so it doesn't feel too limiting.
Just my thoughts, though!
I stopped watching Spartan's videos when one day he was complaining, shouting and ranting about WoW while playing badly Admiral Dreadnought. It was very disappointing, it felt like a waste of time, don't be like him.
I agree with what u said about limiting armor like that. Also, thanks for the kind reply yesterday. If this is the last episode, i deff enjoyed the campaign. Thanks for😂the great content
How would you like a shorter challenge campaign to play while we rebuild the community designs?
I have a "Naval Treaty" Campaign ruleset that works pretty well with the systems in the game. I would gladly send you the spreadsheet with all the rules and info!
I will say, and at the risk of doxxing myself, I have made posts on the forums about this. As much as I HATE the new Battlecruisers with the hull armor restrictions, they actually seem to work quite well in 1.4. I never find myself wishing I had more armor in battle, but I would still like to be able to strap it on for insurance sake. Definitely try it before knocking it, but at the same time, I'm 100% with you. My rating of the game on Steam will be changing if the armor limits are not adjusted. Quite frankly Nick needs to actually respond to those complaints and explain why they are taking player freedom away, or revert the changes.
where is SMS Yorck?
It's very simple. They are setting limits to force ships to fit to more historical designs, because likely some very vocal group was complaining about the absurdity of some designs (like a high end BB with huge armor and 30 torps). Now like you I think that is just having fun, doing what iffs. But if the Devs are planning for something else, more than the campaigns or some add-on… Well, how does the AI plan for absurd ship designs players can come up with to provide a decent challenge. THEY CAN'T. So if they heard the complaints and it made them think about these designs in regard to their own long range plans, well, limits are needed suddenly.
Sing it with me:
Du, du hast, du hast mich, du hast mich
Du hast mich gefragt, du hast mich gefragt
Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab' nichts gesagt
Disappointing that the developers continue to dictate how players should play the game down to the smallest detail with lower maximum armor limits. I agree, they could have rebalanced with heavier armor. Or they could have made armor thickness like gun length or ship displacement: unlocking more techs allows for thicker armor. But putting in per hull hard limits for thin armor seems like the developers can't figure out how to program the AI to handle well armored ships, so they knee cap the player. Just like they can't get adequate tactical AI programming, so they give out humungous range found bonuses, torpedo dodging voodoo, and magic torpedo launching abilities to AI ships. All the while, the AI seems unwilling or unable to take advantage of technology improvements with new ships or refits, even if player designs are offered for use. It seems frustrating and why I watch videos about the game, but don't buy it.
I don't really understand why the developers would want to limit armour like that. In the end it limits creativity on a game that should foster that, which I can only think of as a step in the wrong direction.
Then again, I'm just a consumer of videos about UA:D, not a player, so my concerns might be misplaced.
18:00 your DD's 5" + radar allows u to kill cl/ca at 8-10km away. why do you get so close to them?
After watching BroSilly's lengthy vid on 1.4, I quite agree with your assessment – the only 2 classes of ships you'd need to build to win in campaign mode, would be battleships and destroyers. To some extent, that's a viable option even now, although cruisers are still quite useful – but even more so after 1.4, when some light cruisers are going to have little more armor than a destroyer.
Some of the notable examples in BroSilly's video was a light cruiser hull limited to 2 inches of armor, a heavy cruiser hull limited to 4.5 inches of armor, and the 50,000 ton Modern Battlecruiser hull limited to 11 inches of armor.
I can understand that some players would prefer if the game were more of a historical simulation – perhaps the better option would have been, instead of making the limited armor and other such changes across the board, they had put them only in the "Legendary" difficulty mode – or perhaps a new "Historical" difficulty mode – that way different players would still have the option of deciding how far towards "historical" they wanted to go.
On a personal note, when I start getting the impression that the devs are making changes to a game, to try to manipulate the players into playing the game in only a few certain ways, that's when I start thinking it's time to start looking for other ways to spend my time.
I can only imagine Lindemann standing on the bringe singing out orders into a microphone with all the authority in the world
I think instead of implementing a hard limit, they should just have a soft limit with diminishing returns like what they did with ship speed. Each hull should have an ideal armour and players can choose to go beyond that if they want to but with exponentially increasing costs and weight. That way they can have more control of game balance and we players won't feel so limited.
