Watch TBSkyen video on League MMO, it was uploaded recently
Alot of FFXIV lore is just expansion of ideas that have already been used in past FF but explored in more detail and mixed and matched with the concepts of different FF together into an amalgamation that has produced a uniquely "Final Fantasy" style narrative.
"vocรช รฉ fraco lhe falta odio" hahhahahahahahahahhahahaha
Honestly, out of every mmo to have been announced or to have come out in the past decade, THIS is the one to be hyped for.
Quazii รฉ br???
Better to wait and see. The game might have a vast lore etc, but it all amounts to how well they are going to build an MMO around it. So, I wish people were level-headed about this, at least a little bit. Cautiously optimistic though
Because Ahri is the best girl
I find that people that play human in a RPG game, if there are other options lack serious imagination. "human warrior" and "human priest" is the most generic combination of race and class you can play.
the only reason I would make a human warrior was to play it like a gladiator, with spear and shield or short sword and shield and DPS with it… not tank.
in Dragon age.. blood magic is used to summon demons. blood mages can use their own life essence (HP) to cast spells instead of using mana. blood specific spells like mind control must use blood (HP) to cast it. it was a stance you turned off and on to switch between using blood and using mana. blood magic is very powerful.
Btw the artworks he use mostly from the other riot games (wildrift and legends of Runeterra) that is also connect to the main cannon lore
Ok, so… where did you get that shirt?
Just so you know, since you asked about the artwork, the artists who create paintings and music for riot are actual gods. Actually Soken levels of genius. Almost everything they make is incredibly hype, even if it doesn't necessarily suit your taste, you'll see why others get incredibly excited about it (the k-pop phase they had for example).
FYI : LEAGUE Has a multiverse.. all skins has lore.
If you enjoy the blood magic fantasy, you could try the Dragon Age games. I remember them having blood mages as prestige classes.
brazilians recognize the tshirt
You know its hype when every mmo youtube starts watching becrit for mmo lore about league xD
I don't think it's jumping on the hype train; as a big dune fan my heart has been disappointed with games to many times. But I still have the books and films. So this universe IS cool and I will maybe read the books and that's cool on its own.
One of the few videos I can watch lol. Without getting spoilers ๐
As others have pointed out, yes, most of the art is from Legends of Runeterra, and the rest is concept art, so it's all official. One rather unique thing that Legends of Runeterra art does is, rather than just showing the character, it actually plays heavily into storytelling. For example, you have several cards that show the same character in different situations, even if they aren't the focus of that specific card, which follows their lore journey.
I also came from DotA, playing it because 95% of my friends also play it, but as someone who loves story rich games and RPGs, DotA never had the depth of lore that I enjoy. Which is why I started playing League when it came out. Sucks that I was the only one who plays it but I enjoyed the lore and the world enough to keep me playong even after all this time.
I stopped playing MMOs a long time ago since I don't like needing to play a game regularly to keep updated with people in-game, but whatever happens, I'll definitely try to play the Riot MMO. I pray that they won't rush this and make the best product they can make.
Most of the artworks he uses…came from Riot card game Legends of Runeterra and their League universe website
Having only played WoW for so long, I couldn't even conceive of the idea of no factions. I was so confused about how it could possibly work in FFXIV. Now playing FF for roughly 2 years, I'm now wondering who thought factions were EVER a good idea lol. I guess maybe because I was never into PvP .. I'm not actually fond of the idea of racials… If they are very low key (1% element resistance to fit lore of char maybe) I'm okay, but yeah MMO players are notorious for optimizing the fun and customization right out of the game instantly lol.
Oh man. WildStar ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
at this point this is kinda good delusion
Thank you for reacting to these! I hope you continue diving deeper into the League lore (Necrit is an incredible resource for that). As a long-time League AND League lore fan, I am having so much fun watching newcomers react to the universe and see takes on it from a completely new angle. Great reactions, keep it up!
Do we know if Riot's MMO is a snadbox or themepark MMO yet?
lazy peon wild star in 2022. horde in thaurissan ocenia was the majority. alliance are rare spawn.
For info on Wildstar, I recommend nerdSlayer Studio's "Death of a Game: Wildstar." Long story short, it didn't go as planned.
Faction wars , don't keep from interacting with each other. There always interacting just not balance. On racial ability, People will always find a way to midmax the game. DnD races have racial at it core. But midmaxing was not big issue because people just wanted to play there class and race
I think one possible and flexible way they can do this is having the "base" classes (with skills that everyone under that class should have, kind of like an expanded version of Role Actions. All Warriors should be able to charge and tank for example) and then have unique "specializations" within each origin that you get on creation, but can then learn by travelling to the region and being mentored for it. For example, you can start as an Enforcer in Piltover, which grant you some CC abilities, but you can go to Ionia to learn Blade Master moves, and now have fast attacks and movement abilities special to them.
As long as you carefully balance these aspects, or limit how much can be active at one time, you would "craft" your own class fantasy of a warrior, from your character's unique experiences in the world.
I honestly think RIOT has been preparing for this for years already. The did have very similar role as DOTA had. Meaning, no cohesive role at all. Then years ago they started reworking a bunch of character roles. (Some I liked less than the others, people will never see the old Viktor, only the one in Arcane, but on a greater perspective it makes sense.) Each champion rework, raised a new lore story. On RIOT's page there is a lore for each champion, there is a role for each area and there are additional mini stories for almost most champions and areas. And they are good. Also, the Lux and Zed comics were a big hit. They were very well received. And they can have an overarching story with Ryze. Rzye is a champion collecting runes (very powerful stones that shaped the universe and corrupt almost everyone). He tries to collect them to a safe spot so no unwanted person gets them. This could be something of a BIG lore in the game.
I believe that having viera in Lotr is more relevant than what Rings of Power will be.
"the fan art for riot mmo (will) be insane "… Oh my sweet summer child
I subbed ever since you started reacting to Riot MMO stuff and am here to stay.
Also I would highly recommend Necritโs individual character and region lore explanations on his channel. He is a fantastic story teller who loves this world of Runeterra (I myself started League because of the game back in the day and quit that and just stay for the lore and esports now ๐
The art is offical. It's mostly from the card game.
Love the art of legends of runeterra (Riots card game). This game actually helped us visualize places, stories or things that were only told through written texts in their website.
