These videos are cool. So many wholesome stories in this one. Definitely a good change of pace from all the infuriating stories you usually read.
That um… Third story really got to me… I need to go cry for a bit.
Im happy you covered this one today! The other day I handed my notice in from my retail job! Its nice to hear other experiences both good and bad with this field LOL
I had a customer once want to just walk out with unpaid for gift card that her toddler son was "playing with". This same customer the same day got upset that I wouldn't exchange all the items she brought in even though only 3 or so of the 15+ she brought was on the receipt. She demanded the manager and I had the pleasure to inform her that in fact I was the manager on duty. So glad I'm not in retail anymore.
On the video game one I would have threatened the manager right then and there. If you don't stand up for yourself do nothing more than a coward
Howzit Vincey, that was almost a wholesomeness overload!
I experienced a wholesome moment once, where another customer and I chatted nicely while waiting to be served.
After he'd left, the server asked me if I wanted this cricket bat sized (slight exaggeration) piece if biltong (dried beef) as is or cut up into pieces.
I said I couldn't afford that, and besides I didn't order it.
She told me the gentleman who just left paid for it…
I was speechless and started to tear up. When I got to my car I had a good cry over the whole episode.
That was a rough period for my disabled mom and me, her then slightly disabled care-giver.
I have repaid that act of kindness in many small ways with the means at hand to help others who are short of cash.
That pay it forward thing really works.
this video was like Lucky Charms lmao, a beautiful mix of wholesome and infuriating
Third one is a real "and everyone clapped"
So many of these retail workers are so sweet & kind & empathetic – it boils my blood that certain members of the public are such assholes to them ❤
Awww that last one about Keanu made me cry. He is such a sweetheart. I’ve heard story after story about him doing things like this.
What happened to that unfortunately person at the game store is called at-will employment. It's all over the U. S., and it should be banned by law, but it isn't.
And I don't believe it. A dog came up with a campaign that cats would completely agree with (a ban on vacuum cleaners).
12:05 i get that cursive is out of favor now, but WTF is the problem if someone uses it?
As a Jill spelled Gill I am actually offended by that first Karen lady calling op STUPID for spelling it the way they did first.
"He's a very influencial businessman", okay, why does the manager of a random-ass gamestop care about what an influencial businessman has to say?
We need a serious that is entirely wholesome stories
I lost my life partner and my grandfather last week (and I also used to work retail) and these videos have been helping me through. Thank you, Vincey
Where your tongue rests in your mouth isn’t stress as much as what language you speak. English speakers keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth because we have lots of sounds/ words that require your tongue to be there. It’s been a while since I last saw it but I think Russian was an example of people who keep their tongue at the bottom of their mouth. It’s kind of like you’re just primed to speak.
Tales fron retail don't always have to be horror stories. Sometimes they can be really heartwarming, because all kinds of people go to shops. ❤
15:30 So the entire town coddles a child because of his dad having influence in the town? That sounds like Twilight Zone material.
Keanu Reeves is the most wholesome man ❤
dang thought this was emkay
Wow, I miss one day and it's a new subreddit? I'm offended /j. IDK much about this one, hope it'll be fun!
The story with the kid trying to buy the M rated game: OP should 100000000% have sued for wrongful termination. "It's out of my hands, sorry you didn't realize it's illegal but I need better compensation than just two weeks."
Tip: if you can't read cursive, just pretend someone wrote really really fast and lazy so they didn't pick up the pen.
