Story 4: I really want a story where compliance like that is in fact exactly what is wanted.
The way to fix those door handles is to replace the screws with pointed set screws and tighten them with an Allen wrench!
A conventional screwdriver might not always work as some door knob has an awkward bulbous shape that would get in the way of the screws' straight path.

First Story – It would seem that whatever their apprenticeships were in, they didn't involve anything mechanical. Thread lock, people. One little dot and you're done. No special screws. No extra washers. Nothing else.
Story #6 – Back in the beforetimes, before Dell had a website, I told my employers at a computer manufacturer that we should have a presence on this new thing called The World Wide Web, because it was going to be big. The product manager, in head office, shot me down. "It would be too expensive and never pay for itself, in the long run." I quietly set up a local email server, that performed dial-up connections on our fax line every hour, and distributed the mail to individual mailboxes on a server I built out of scrap parts. couldn't do a website and domain because it would be a conflict of interest, and I'd already been told it was a non starter. I wish that I'd thought to have a friend buy the domain and split the profits, when they had to buy it back. They are now out of business, rather unsurprisingly.
First story; Loctite is your FRIEND! Get some, use it, (BLUE! NOT Red, trust me on this), problem solved! This can be found at any auto parts store or just go to Amazon like you do for everything else.
Ante Meridiam is kinda funny. It's one of those cases where the abbreviation is used so much and so exclusively that it's easy for people to forget or simply never learn what it stands for or learn that it's even an abbreviation. Names like NASA are similar, most people think NASA is simply it's name and don't realize it stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration because nobody ever uses it's full name.
"I don't know what anti meridian means!"
I missed the part where that's my problem.
"that's a really good deal on wings wherever they were."More like whenever they were. Story is probably from decades ago
The baked potato story: I'm crying laughing at this one! Malicious compliance is a BEAUTIFUL thing!
As a former aviation structural mechanic in the US navy I’d like to point out that a proper screwdriver is 6 oz orange juice 2 oz vodka 5 ice cubes.
If stuff gets that loose you might need to replace or maybe loctite
story 1: I don't know why they don't use screw glue. it keeps the scews in place
Get some loc-tite and coat the screws so they don't come loose
Loose screws on door knob. a proper screw driver is not the problem. The screws are working loose because the holes they go into are worn and out of tolerance. Without addressing the worn parts issue even the proper tool like a screw driver will not fix the issue. I live in a Very old house and I have had this problem on several door knobs over the years. There are many quick fixes that can alleviate the problem for a while. Stuffing wet tissue into the screw hole or lock tight or glue and a few others. But your best fix is to replace the whole knob assembly.
I love Mindys and their chocolate flustys and octagonal burgers.
Had a coworker who registered all the city names he could afford and sold the city names back to them. He was a switchman for the phone co. He also started a number of intranet providers in his wife's name. He made a fortune
put glue in the screw holes silly
