THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT IS INSANE | All Tracks Reaction & Analysis

My initial thoughts to the album, and we still have an entirely new album to go! What a night, Taylor Swift. #ttpd #thetorturedpoetsdepartment #erastour

  1. I cant get over that she added more songs. HOW DOES 16 TURN INTO 31 IN JUST 24 HOURS?!
I LITERALLY WENT TO BED AFTER LISTENING TO 2 SONGS FULLY, (school night, had to go to bed๐Ÿ˜”) (fortnight and ttpd is all I listened to, and like 2 seconds of other songs) AND THEN I WAKE UP TO ANOTHER SET OF SONGS FOR TTPD?!!!?!! WHAT IS UP WITH SWIFTIE LIFE.

  3. I became a Swift fan when Folklore arrived, although I went back and found plenty of songs I liked. This album is really disappointing to me. I feel her lyricism improved with Alwyn's more educated input. This is a mess of mixed and unsustained metaphors, and I think the Kim thing is petty and not a good enough song to get away with it, and I can't stand Kim K. There are a couple of tracks I like – Down Bad, although it borrows heavily from her earlier, Style, is good, and I like loml, and a few others. But there are no really strong melodic hooks here, so it all blends together into something a bit meh. So, I'm glad this one is out of her system, and I hope she moves forward from where Folklore/Evermore left off!

  4. Favourite songs on THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT original would be My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys, Who's Afraid of Little Old Me, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, But Daddy I Love Him, I Can Fix Him, No Really I Can, loml, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart and Fortnight.
Absolutely love that in Clara Bow Taylor has basically given a future perspective of a younger, newer artist that is becoming the new "It girl", almost like she is "passing the torch". Apparently she used a short from Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire video to advertise the song, so many people think it's a nod to her ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค
