Na, the only reason the husband is in a weird spot is because of his father being a prick. Husband seen that the wife was insulted and said fuck that, we're leaving. I'd done the same thing if someone, even family, said something like that to my S/O. Even more pissed when expecting the S/O to apologize for being insulted.
