  1. Allen delivers a whallop of a message as per usual! Breaking into my eastern standard time 😂. Great content to start the day with. Going to see Holy Moments all over the place now.

  2. Love Allen Hunt….this was wonderful today.
My moment with Jesus would be “The Sermon on the Mount” since one my favorite times where He shares God’s Word is when He shares “The Beatitudes” ❤️❤️

  3. Those moments I call "ah ha" moments. For me, I felt calmly overwhelmed and enveloped with a pure joy of heart. All doubts were gone. I knew I was loved. That is how i invision the woman that came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of his clothes felt.

  4. This is a remarkable interpretation of the Transfiguration! You tell stories in such a way that stirs my emotions on so many levels, and brings me closer to God and my Catholic faith. I always look forward to your presentations. Thank you!

  5. That was beautiful, Allen. I would choose the transfiguration for that one moment in Jesus' life. I continued to read and re-read the Gospel just to feel that magnificent feeling of transfiguration. My soul was lifted into the highest.

  6. I am not 100% sure which moment I would pick, but The Transfiguration is definitely one of my top choices. I love this reading, and I love envisioning what it must have been like.

  7. I've always loved the Transfiguration story. I think that would probably be the moment with Jesus that I would have picked too. When we tune in to holy moments, we can experience those "spiritual interventions" more and more.

  8. Just as Allen says, "Declare Your Glory, Lord!"
Yes, declare Your Glory so we can be emboldened to know You are real, and that our faith is worthwhile.
(I would want to hear the conversation on the road back to Emmaus, to learn what Scripture passages Jesus mentioned.)

  9. The moment I would choose is finding a young Jesus in the temple questioning the teachers and even answering questions, because I could also catch the moment when Mary and Joseph would come into find him . Seeing the Holy family in that moment and hear this child speak would mean so much! So many of the Marian apparitions that are occurring in this generations are occurring with children who are around the same age, some raised in devout families and some never knowing about Christ and the Holy Family. It is the 5th Joyful mystery of the rosary ,but it would be my 1st choice to encounter Jesus!

  10. So much to glean from the Transfiguration! I can only imagine how Peter, James and John viewed the experience after Jesus rose from the dead. I picture them staring at one another with open mouths.
I watched this Thursday, the day we reflect on the Luminous mysteries of the Rosary. The Transfiguration is the 4th Luminous mystery.

  11. I’m always moved and inspired when Dr. Allen Hunt speaks, and enjoyed this reflection. For me I’d love to be at the wedding at Cana to witness Jesus’ first miracle, with his divine mother gently encouraging Him. Thank you and God bless

  12. Beautiful. I would want to be part of Jesus' life during his childhood: Something we don't hear about in the Bible. I imagine He would be a wonderful friend to grow up knowing, and His friendship at that stage would have influenced me to grow into the kind of adult He wants me to be much sooner.

  13. WOW! What a beautiful reflection–there's much covered in a small amount of time! I thought of our Deacon's homily this past weekend who focused also on Peter's exuberance and building 3 tents. I was also amazed and touched by the greeter at the wedding you attended who reminded everyone to be still before the wedding and what for everyone was going to experience. This was so wonderful and I thought to myself how the Transfiguration doesn't get much "publicity", but this year I thought how "Father, you are the potter, I am the clay" transfigure me Oh Lord! Thanks for such an uplifting reflection to begin my Monday! God bless you all!!
