But they built the Lada and own the president. Winners.
Unlikely to function at this time.
You forgot to mention that those long hard penetrating contraptions are full of seamen
We should get submarine drag racing 🏁
NATO is the biggest con ever. Take Germany they pay the USA to have an army based in Germany, this cost prevents Germany building up their own forces, this scenario is repeated by all the subordinate NATO members, enriching the greedy USA.
Wasn't the Papa faster?
How fast can it sink?
aint as fast as a torpedo
This is so wrong.
The alphas were designed to be deployed in time of war to hunt nato carrier groups. Not anti submarine, their sonar range was around 10,000 yards for sub surface, useless for antisubmarine warfare.
The targeting method was to observe the task groups via satellites and vector the subs via a daily update until nearer then listen to the normal convergence zones at deep depths for ranging then speed into the fleets.
A bomber type design, keep people low in humber and automate as many systems as possible.
Their max hull depth was 2200 feet a lot deeper than a blue whale, this was observed by several 688s and RN S boats.
Their top speed was 42+ knots not 41. Their top speed was set back to 41 to stop resonating frequencies from shaking it to bits.
These facts are well known and documented by both warsaw pact and NATO forces.
Gabble gabble, showing no interest in the subject because the authors are different people and this presenter just reads an autocue.
The writers made the fair point about building up skills and Russia today has probably the most advanced and greatest number of sub marine vessels.
Like Royal Navy developments (which are largely kept secret), the reactors allow great speed and endurance while also being practically silent. Stirling engines are used for this low noise capability and many hulls are made of composites.
Great depth is attainable using advanced titanium alloys for some types but is less of a necessity than post-WW2 because evasion technology seldom requires deep dives.
Russia supplies submarines and sub surface vessels in clusters or 'nets' with perhaps 2 in 20 having a human crew. China is the main client for these and the implications for US carrier groups is profound.
Your speed is irrelevant if your reactor is so loud we can hear you at idle when your still in port tied to the dock. Not to mention both the US and Russia have advanced torpedoes that are rocket powered. Allowing them speeds in excess of 70+ knots. Which is faster than sound travels underwater.
Alfa class subs reactors are EXTREMELY noisy. Our son bs can AND have picked them up at extreme distance.
Give me a couple of days. I’ll get scared. I promise. Right after I stop laughing
A Soviet/Russian weapon with one very impressive attribute but dozens of weaknesses that make it completely impractical and useless? I can't believe it. 😐
Hearing that thing rumbling along like a diesel locomotive while pinging away with its LF active sonar because it made too much noise to use its passive systems was an experience. The original point of the Alpha was to dash out of port and kill US/UK Polaris SSBNs, then run away. Once the Trident D5 missile was in the US/UK fleets, they were kinda out of a job.
Ah yes, insanely powerful weapon that can be heard on the other side of the world, no, it is the insane level of incompetency in construction, maintenance and use. No fear here.😂 as it will only take 3days for Ukraine to fall.
Ooppss, dropped the calendar for next 10 years on to the floor. Which year are we at?.😱😤🤕💩
PHRASING ARCHER
The Russians are the only ones who know how fast it goes. And never believe anything a Russian says.
Can you please stop feeding the communist propaganda machine good reviews? I mean if you want to believe that they have any war/tech/civility advantage over the rest of the world that's fine, just dont go confusing fact for opinion. FACT: China has better tech than russia because they stole it from america.
Speed is a sub's enemy when it comes to being undetected
The world has learned just absolutely awful Russian military hardware is… and their soldiers, sailers and pilots are even worse. Look how easily, and how many Russian ships were sunk by tiny Ukraine, who doesn’t even have a navy.
Is the crew good? If the crew is not good with like years decades on that sub then it's no threat
I suspect no piece of Russian military hardware has been a 'nightmare' for NATO in twenty years, and especially post-Special Military Operation.
They would not insist on keeping shielding due to Polonium-210 (alpha emitter). Makes no sense
weapons of the world .. what a waste of money ..
