  1. I’m sure Vidal knows this but What some people don’t understand is boxing in mma is different then boxing in boxing. Your optimal stance depends on the opponent . You have to look for kick , take downs the clinch, Throws.

  2. Well done. Ifl there are obvious similarities but at the end of the day MMA and boxing are diff sports. I think this is the first time I saw a boxer acknowledge that in his breakdowns. He points out about knees and kicks and elbows and td's and says things like, "This is as close as you can get to boxing technique while still considering the other weapons you have to worry about." Spot on. I like his chill, open personality too. Gr8 stuff

  3. Spot on too about the head hunting. There is a lot of that in MMA. I think it's bc of the percieved risk/reward benefit of landing a big head strike. But that's a good point. I've seen guys dropped from body shots and even leg kicks in MMA. I kind of wonder how they compare in terms of fight-ending potential. Like if you could land clean w 80% power, would you have more expected benefit from landing clean to the head or to the body, for example. I guess it depends on opponent too ofc. And as this knowledgeable gentleman pointed out, it depends on what has been set up too. Gr8 vid. And Askren's awful hands are world famous now 😅
