A skilled Comanche warrior protects her tribe from a highly evolved alien predator that hunts humans for sport, fighting against wilderness, dangerous colonizers, and this mysterious creature to keep her people safe.

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

“Prey” is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, written by Patrick Aison (“Jack Ryan,” “Treadstone”), and produced by John Davis (“Jungle Cruise,” “The Predator”) and Jhane Myers (“Monsters of God”), with Lawrence Gordon (“Watchmen”), Marty Ewing (“It: Chapter Two”), James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas and Marc Toberoff (“Fantasy Island”) serving as executive producers.

The filmmakers were committed to creating a film that provides an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and brings a level of authenticity that rings true to its Indigenous peoples. Myers, an acclaimed filmmaker, Sundance Fellow and member of the Comanche nation herself, is known for her attention and dedication to films surrounding the Comanche and Blackfeet nations and her passion for honoring the legacies of the Native communities. As a result, the film features a cast comprised almost entirely of Native and First Nation’s talent, including Amber Midthunder (“The Ice Road,” “Roswell, New Mexico”), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”), Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”).

  3. The Critical Drinker hit the nail on the head with his review when he said how the story will go – our 'strong' female lead that needs no man will team up with the predator to take down the real enemy …. the white man invading her country! This is just more of disney virtue signalling.

    I did like the reaction but the film is going to be nothing more than woke propaganda.

  5. It looks amazing, like they finally gave us a good Predator film, it’s got a great story, great trailer, rated R, great Director, and they made this movie before Disney took the rights from twentieth Century part, so Disney wasn’t a part of making this film

  6. the revnant meets predator! i love it. also did you notice his tech is more primal. the red targeting weapon is more of a projectile instead of a missile. i cant wait

  7. Note for Prey fans: Naru was not trying to kill that bear with her little bow and arrow; she was enraging it, so that she could lead it into a trap. The beaver lodge was her escape plan, but the bear didn't get with the program. So…the Predator basically saved her.

  8. Love seeing the reactions of three Black horror/sci-fi nerd brothers (like me) digging this trailer as much as I do, and being hyped about the movie the way I am. Hope Prey is as good as the trailer promises. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of "triggered" snowflakes on other channels whining about "wokeness" and the female character here not being a realistic match for a Predator. Shaking my damn head.

  9. I want them to fully go in with predators , to prequel movies on the predators and have us follow a predator for a few movies , then we would end up rooting for the predator haha , like I want a well known predator instead of just different ones in each movie …

  13. According to Greg Alba from The Reel Rejects, this is the best Predator film since the original so I’m excited! Also, if Prey ends up being successful enough to get a sequel or two, I kind of want to see a Predator around during either the Old Western days or the Vietnam War. Maybe even one of the World Wars, but being that predators usually show up whenever it’s hot, I’m not gonna get my hopes up for that.

  18. The predators mask looks exactly like a hideous malevolent wendigo creatures Face without the alters. A very much copy from director. He must have watched a documentary of the Wendigo creatures Face.
