Power/torque vs weight is one thing. But don't forget to consider aero drag, which the GT3 has more of it. This may be the main reason for the M4 being able to catch up with the GT3 on higher straightline speeds.
I hate to see these reviews on a soaking wet track….

Double wishbone is not new to sports cars. Why did it take them 50 plus years to catch up? It's kinda like not having lsd as a standard in their 911s.

csl isn't a track car it's a handling focused road car that is capable on track. Track cars have wings and diffusers. Waste of time if you aren't maximizing aero.

If I were to pick one right now I would pick the Porsche GT3 RS over the BMW.

The Porsche 911 GT3 is better.
GT3 all day everyday! The CSL looks horrific and the latest gen of BMW M cars are forgettable at best, and I’ve always been a bmw fan boy!!

New BMW's look cheap to me.
911 is a beauty! And it has proper gearbox! M4 is ugly and has no manual. And it is fat and has no right to use CSL (L for light)!
