  1. For all his piety, he was just a man. No resurrection, no eternal life, no divine healing, no nothing. Atheists like me are no different from a pope.

  2. Another old man died…. so what, big deal…. life goes on and his death is irrelevant…. it was news worthy for 24 hours… now it's a recurring regurgitation old old news that has no value…. apart from that he represents 2000 years of pedophiles…. Good riddance… 🄱

  3. The catholic popes thru out history killed indigenous people all over the world to believe their religion and make the wealth. Banished my mother from going to church because she was divorced in 1969. So my sisters and I had to go to church by ourselves we were only 9 yrs old when parents divorced. They popes have destroyed Many lives. Yet I don’t see any Catholic Churches or the Vatican helping anyone but there pockets. Disgusting popes priest that just beg for money and killed millions based on religion. And people are worshiping this evil man that is not God. Disgusting

  4. Wow CNN this is kind of harsh. I'm speechless this is really harsh . Maybe you should report on other religions that are just as corrupt and do the same thing that they claim this boat did. There are Christian religions cults and all those that have done far worse than what they claim about this Pope there's other religions I won't name that do somewhat of the same thing actually no they make it legal according to their book they can marry young little girls under their religion and you left us won't say a thing about it. Just saying the truth

  5. May we remember the great weight on us who lead. As we reflect on abuse in the world, let us reflect on when we, the abused of you, stay silent so many times in regards to yourselves and in regards to others (all sins included) when it is in your favour to stay silent, undermining the greater-abused, greater for this offence by which you diminish your validity. That isn’t justice; standing against fear-mongers and helping the environment for whatever then unconfirmed future impact it could have, even of the tiniest measure somewhere in the universe, like we have evidence Pope Benedict did, is rather justice, justice at work in the world šŸŒ . Its good fruits šŸŽ šŸŽ šŸŽ shall be borne in this upcoming season of life. For this we give him the praise of thanks which is permitted by Abrahamic law, for those of you whom mistake it as sacrilegious to ā€œhail the popes / praise the popesā€. A prophet, saint or priest can be thanked. What, shall we say bad of him in death? No! Now, often, the trend of ā€œsilenceā€ until it’s in one’s monetary or ā€˜popularity-train’ favour to cry ā€˜ā€œme too,ā€ I have been abused,’ is done for monetary and popularity-train favours, the prophets among us can deduce, and sometimes, it’s done for sexual gratification for reliving their stories. Just by saying them frankly in the courtrooms is a desired sexual experience for those who lack skill / control or whom may aptly be deemed perverted, or sexually starved for unrighteous reasons (ewww!) 😢. May Pope Benedict hold his head higher on Judgment Day than any who hold theirs high in hypocrisy, and in his honour, why not harmlessly try coming out about your abuse even when there is no money to be had if it’s your truth and you are as yet unhealed or unforgiving. At the same time, it is wise not to neglect the former things we are accountable for, which the Bible declares include: ā€˜Loving God above all else [all else that you do]’ and then, unrelated but worth every opportunity to share, we are to always practice loving others as you love yourselves’. These are paraphrases of the two greatest commandments. Note on this great Orthodox Day, loving God, mind you, encompasses some loving others, because after loving Himself, as the Word of the Holy Bible illustrates, His heart is for others, you and I, so the better of the two laws is the first. These laws are two Jesus first taught and, greater than laws, they are Commandments other Abrahamic faiths do not liturgically prescribe. On behalf of WTL International… Aisha Hammah. To love Pope Benedict after his passing on to eternity is to do the best you can do to further his causes for the same right and Godly motivations or God counts it as nothing, the Bible teaches through Scripture after Scripture. Blessings to all! Amen šŸ™ Aisha Hammah

  6. I cut my ties with the church a while ago, that’s a man who gave up power and the authority of government. I knew he was in the SS and that was unsettling, but where he grew up and the timing really wouldn’t look good if he was always against it. And I’m not sure if this is a hit peace or a respect that you people possibly feel for him. This is where the world is, I don’t know if these are serious or if I fail at what democrats think of as bad
