I've been telling you this could happen. The exact things I've commented before on this channel are happening now. There's no way a 70 billion dollar merger happens without getting body checked by some regulatory entity.
The deal may still go through but it also may not. The EU hasn't weighed in yet and generally they don't like big mergers either.
I still advise not getting our hopes up too much, I genuinely don't know why people think this deal is such a sure thing.

All along I knew Playstations main concern is losing their marketing rights. Yeah I do think CoD going to Game Pass is a concern. But they're afraid of losing their exclusivity deal and having the CoD and PS logo synonymus to one another not continue. PS already have the perception of having great exclusive games ( Yes, they make good games but they're not the only ones that make good games). So, PS having the perception of their great exclusive games with owning the main stream media along with the casual market equals sales success for them. They're afraid to lose some of what has helped them successful the last decade.
The UK regulators compared to Brazil just shows how bought off they are. It’s incredible how much the UK regulators are NOT interested in fair competition they’re interested in what’s best for Sony PlayStation. Sony crying they don’t want Xbox to have better performance makes me wonder what if Sony paid developers to make their games not look as good graphically or gimp performance. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Sony's entitlement is 99% of the reason I want Xbox to make Call of Duty exclusive. I don't even like CoD but the way they act and their blatant hypocrisy they need to start facing consequences for their actions. It's not 2002 anymore they don't hold 90% of the console market and think they are owed everything but not expect any competition in anyway imaginable.

SONY PAY-STATION / REMASTER-STATION are the REAL Anti-consumer company ! Sony dont care about their consumers or gamers, they only care about making more MONEY . They are the ones who raise the cost of their games ($70 plus), they made remaster games and you have to paid full price again (no free upgrades like XBOX), now they raise the price of PS5 ($50 plus)(cost more than XBSX and has less power) ! They charge developers for CROSS-PLAY ! They make his games exclusives and paid to lock games to not be in XBOX and Games Pass. Their service PS plus cost more and is trash (old games + demos). Sony's hypocrites now demand parity between xbox and PS games but they are the ones who for years have treated more exclusive content (DLC) on playstation and they pay so developers don't put them on xbox . CMA UK are PONYS defenders and NOT pro-consumers !
What terrifies sony is that Call of duty games are going to be in Game Pass and that is going to cost Sony many subscribers who are going to go to Games Pass XBOX or PC! Sony's fear is XBOX Game Pass, because they cant compete and that's why they have been trying for years to pay developers not to put their games on Game Pass. Sony depend only in Playstation consoles sales and will loose money and the 1st place in gaming to XBOX ! XBOX = Game Pass = (Consoles + PC + XCLOUD (Phones/Tv/Tablets/WebBrowser)) ! Cross-Gen / Cross-Saves / Cross-Play !
