Playoff Football, Pro Bowl Memories & JJ Watt Retires | New Heights w/Jason & Travis Kelce | Ep 19

On the nineteenth episode of New Heights, Jason and Travis react to being named Sports Illustrated’s “Podcast of the Year”, we have an update on your fanbase name suggestions, and we answer the not-dumb questions, “What do head coaches do during games if they don’t call plays?”

We then jump into Travis finally getting on the scoreboard against his “rival” Geno Smith, why nipples are nature’s thermostats, and find out who had the idea to give Andy Reid a cheeseburger for Christmas.

Jason recaps the Eagles game in Dallas, what Gardner Minshew is really like to play with, and why December football already feels like the playoffs.

Later, we take a look back at some of Jason and Travis’ favorite Pro Bowl Memories of the Bennett Brothers, try to figure out what’s going on in Broncos’ Country, if the Mac Jones tackle was actually dirty, how they would handle the bizarre playoff scenario in the ACF East, and react to the new JJ Watt is retiring.

We close out with a look ahead to Week 17 as the Eagles try and wrap up the #1 seed against the Saints and the Chiefs try to stay in the hunt for first place against the Broncos.

  1. You two definitely deserve podcast of the year. I've never sat and listen to podcasts until I found you guys. Now I can't wait for each week's episode to come out so I can watch. Go Eagles 🦅

  2. Hey Travis…your comments about EB not calling the plays is causing some stink on other blogs. I didn't think anything about it, but others are thinking that will hurt EB's chance at a head coaching job. Just an fyi…

Pod cast is awesome but Jason you wanna explain that embarrassment you guys call an offense against the saints that was wasn't football that was not taking it to new heights that was an all time low for that offense you guys liked youndidnt know how to play football at all and ik this probably won't get seen oh well idc it need to be said rather from a coach or a fan you guys played like absolute shit and will be a one and done playoff team if you don't clean it the fuck up you said Philly fans are harsh well your right because we always get under looked and never get the respect the team deserves and you been showing us amazing this but to play like you did today embarrassing and the offense and coaches should be ashamed

  5. Rest In Peace Grant Wahl, the man who wrote the Lebron "Chosen One" SI article that Travis Mentioned. I was a big fan of all his soccer coverage and he passed away at the recent world cup.

  6. So here's the question about the Chiefs everyone wants to know the answer to, but no one has the balls to ask or answer: Why do the Chiefs continue to struggle with teams that are clearly inferior, week in and week out, and all we get is bullshit coach speak answers about how they're "good, well coached football teams" that "have good football players that are professionals that are paid too "? Other non top tier teams don't seem to have these struggles week in and week out, so what gives??? Sure, everyone has a bad day, blah blah blah. Do they really have a bad day in weeks 2, 3, 5, 6,7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16??? Just sounds like BS and a bunch of people not being straight up and just answering honestly. What gives? Are you too b**ch to answer the question?

  7. Packers fan here and Travis Kelce has been my keeper in my fantasy league for 2 years now, next year will make 3rd straight! And that’s my 1st round pick even. Travis never disappoints. Best tight end to ever play the game. Never taken a TE before like round 5 (20 years doing fantasy football) before Kelce. Keep killin it Kelce brothers! 🍻

  8. I honestly had certain opinions about the Kelce brothers especially Travis that I'm glad to learn are just not the case. I very much dislike the Chiefs and I'm not much a fan of the Eagles either but this podcast is it. You guys are doing this so well, keep it up! I love the insights of two of the best to do it
